Disneyland, the Good, the Bad and the great Hunt

Well, tonight, as I patiently waiting for my hot coco, I have time to reflect on my trip to Disneyland.

In short, it was great. My family and I had a great time here and with each other. Fireworks were great!
That's the good.

The Bad:
The fact that I need a nap in the middle of the day, wasting precious ride time hurts to admit. I look at my 13 yro and I remember being his age and going non-stop. Ride to ride to ride. Now it's ride a few and need nap. And I am not that old. How can I hit soooo many Lbs in one day but can not hang out all day at Disneyland.

Also, this just my opinion but I did not like the New Nemo Ride. I thought it was crap. I had heard people were waiting in line for 3 hours! and if I had waited any longer than I had~ 20 minutes, I would have been more than annoyed.

Now for the Great Hunt:
I was here last year and I did not know about this then but there's a book that gives you "clues" to the Hidden Mickeys all about Disneyland. Sure enough, it's just like letterboxing. Sometimes they are there and sometimes they are not. Sometimes the clues are good and sometimes they are not. However, I will say that this book gave my 13 yo son who has been here 4 times already, something of "hunt" and something to look forward to and we quite enjoyed the hunt together.

The saying in my family is, "I've had an event; now it's time for a nap."

And I'm not that old either! :) A good nap is a sweet indulgence!

I saw something about this on the website....do you have to buy this book somewhere? We are trying to figure out how to spend our 3 precious days in disney next year. It looked kind of cool to hunt for Mickeys...

I need a nap EVERY day. (but I'm pregnant :-)

I grew up with my grandparents taking us to Disney. My grandfather ALWAYS made early dinner reservations somewhere in the park that had a show with the meal, like the 'Diamond Horseshoe Review' around 3:00 or 4:00. This is when it's most likely to rain during any given day there. Getting an hour to sit down and refresh always gave us the energy to go back for more rides.

There is a website. He uses it to update the "clues" for when the Mickey is confirmed gone or a new Mickey has been created. (gosh, what an idea! ;p )

The staff we spoke to about them, seemed to know what we were talking about too.

My dd loved looking for Mickeys, too!
But you can look even without the book. Maybe it's more fun that way? There are so many hidden all over DL.

We used Ridemax to plan our ridetime, and then just soaked in the ambience...Ahhhh...DL! (It helps that youngest dislikes rides...)
