I know it's not classic haiku (ie 5-7-5), but I've seen haiku using 5-2-5, in which these are written.
------------------------------
Tramping through the woods.
Bug bites.
Where is that d%#* box?
My compass is whacked.
What does
Declination mean?
Serendipity:
This box
Has a hitchhiker!
Crushed! This box stamp's been
Swapped by
A geocacher.
Family boxing.
Three kids.
Who ate all the snacks?
I am exhausted.
Seven
Hundred yards straight up.

The trail winds around.
Box Found!
Now on to the next.
I can not find it.
Calm down.
I think I see it!
