Teacher Adjustment

My wife. She's the funny one in our family.
We have a 6th grade teacher at our school (for purposes here, we will call him "Wes"... mostly because that happens to be his name). He's only been at the school for 3 years, but he is a really good teacher, great with the kids, kinda a young guy with lots of hopes and dreams. And an itch.
See, Wes has this habit of, uh, "adjusting" himself. He doesn't realize it, it is just a natural reaction, but the habit has been getting a bit more commonplace over the course of the year. Several of the teachers have noticed it, but nobody has been willing (or able) to confront him about it. At least not wih a straight face. Finally, the Principal has decided that it is getting out of hand. Well, technically, his hand IS involved, but that's not the point. She was a bit flummoxed as how to broach the subject without mortifying the poor man, and was telling my wife about it the other day. My wife is not easily flummoxed, as you could probably guess, and decided to help out in the situation. So, this weekend, she wrote this little anonymous poem, and we left it in Wes' teacher box this morning...

An insurance adjuster adjusts people’s claims-
And a chiropractor, their spines.
An accountant adjusts your gross income
(To avoid extra taxes or fines)
These kinds of adjustments are made every day-
Causing no one to avert their glance
The same is not true of the clueless guy who
Stands, adjusting the front of his pants…

We lurk in wait for these sorts of things because our principal is not well liked and we enjoy watching her sweat. We're terrible people, really . . . . . .

Yeah, I can't imagine, from what I know of you here at AQ, that someone easily flummoxed could be married to you!
Soooooo, are you going to tell us what happened with Wes after he got your wife's poem?
