Letterboxing Offspring

Several things have happened in the last couple of days that lead me to believe that we are passing on a slightly skewed perspective to our kids.
*According to my 5yo, the monetary postage stickers that we put on mail are Not stamps!
*The same 5yo asked me to carve a grapefruit for her. It took me a minute to realize she wanted to eat one for lunch.
*My 8yo snagged her fingernail the other day and asked me if I could carve it off smooth for her.
*The 5yo asked her SS teacher what her trail name was and wanted to know what her sig stamp looked like. She also asked the same teacher if she wanted to trade LTCs with her.

One of these days, those two are going to get me is trouble.

Savor every minute of their shenanigans because they grow up too fast, but you'll always have the memories.

HA (Missing mine who is grown and 300 miles away)

Bet that was fun explaining.

It's funny how they think that because they do it, everyone does.

That's a hysterical post!!

My son tells his teachers about letterboxing -he has to, because at the beginning of each school year they are asked what their favorite things are, and he says "letterboxing" so then has to explain.......

I love this one:

When we picked her up, the SS teacher just told us that M had wanted to trade something with a penguin with her and she didn't know what she meant. I explained that we had made a trading card as a craft project and that we would bring her one next week (hey! that's tomorrow!).
In between church services is Not the time to try explaining the whole running around in the woods looking for tupperware thing. Not to mention all of the offshoots of this hobby. Sometimes it's easier to smile and let them wonder. Or pass it off as a homeschooling project. ;)

Stacy~who now has to decide if she should tell the SS teacher that she lets her kids play with sharp, pointy objects too.

That's what I like to do - lol!! Or say "It's an art sport" and walk away real fast while they are going "What the......."
