whew!
Yesterday was scary for me but also at the same time... a relief.
I was able to get a second opinion and luckily Mojo's elbow had begun to feel better several days ago...
but the doc we had here locally was not communicating with us... and apparently had gotten an impression of me that was waaaaaaaay off base... and I had an impression of him that was less than what i wanted working with my daughter and her wellbeing...her future.

anywho...
after a rather nice experience with the doc at Duke (she actually wanted to know about Mojo's lifestyle and wanted to get to know everything she could about our situation, goals etc.) she was great. Not only did she tell us more factual info but also gave us new perspectives on the injury, possible causes or factors. She gave Mojo some guidelines for safety and to slowly get back to where she is throwing again...but she did give her the ok to start using her arm and for throwing after one more week's rest. The one more week is just like for good measure really... she feels like she is healing well. *big fat grins*

if that lady had known how badly I wanted to just grab her and hug her...
she might woulda run from the room. *laughs*
everytime she said things that connected dead on to what I had needed answered or she made me feel like I was right to think of this, this and this... I did...i really wanted to grab her and hug the heck out of her. maybe I'm not the idiot this doc here made me feel like afterall.

This is the most wonderful news. I am from Burlington and knew you would be passing thru, but I figured you would be single-minded enough to not be thinking of exchanges and stopping along the way. But with such good news, if y'all have to come back for a follow up, watch out. There just might be Dixie gatherings cropping up all along the route, just like when X passed thru.
Glad to know Mojo is going to be fine and isn't it wonderful to be validated in all your thoughts and feelings
