99 Bottles: Sweetwater Festive Ale
Board: Beer, Wine, and Milkshakes

Almost one year since carving began...
22 hours total carving time...
4 locations at which pink stuff was carefully extracted...
One stamp that blows away all others I've carved...
Launch Date: December 14, 2007
Location: Sweetwater Brewery, Atlanta, GA
I have actually amazed myself...!

Looks like the worse half of MK might be able to make it too! Becky has a girl's night out thing and the puppy graduates beginning puppy classes on the 7th. I'm waiting to sign up until I know for sure...but I hope I can make it. I just wish Becky could come along too!

And don't forget his Giant ears.
It's to the point now that when I look at him sometimes I just see a set of big chewing teeth. That's all he wants to do right now.
The classes are to teach him how to be a GOOD puppy...good thing there isn't a test to graduate. Haha. Seriously though, he's pretty good, just a little hyper.
On another note....any chance the Liberty Ale box will make its debut? (or re-debut)
And for anyone interested...http://www.atlasquest.com/lboxes/showboxinfo.html?gBoxId=61224
The only box on Stone Mountain that has never been found is waiting! We checked up on it recently and it's still safe and sound.

Still 3 to go even after Friday?!
Well, there's always Savannah in April. And maybe we'll be able to make it to another Bottles event before that. And of course, the upcoming Big Bash of a Wedding!
PS - Not to offend anyone with kids, all the letterboxing kids we've met have been great kids...but is there any chance that there will be another kid-free Bottles event? It'd be nice to leave school on a Friday and not have to worry about our behavior until the following Monday.

Ah, yes... the carve that I bumped out of first place (in my own rankings).
It will be planted early next week. Scouting and route planning is in progress.
You'll be soaring to new heights with this one... :-)

You're right actually. I forgot about that new one with one of those DREADED picture clues that Becky and I probably have no chance of ever finding. Other than that one I don't know of any 'listed' unfound boxes.
T Rex, go find that one so that we can say ours is the only "AQ listed with an F-Club 500 or less unfound box on Stone Mountain". Hahaha.

Maybe we should make the Jan. event kid free. It after all my b-day and I don't want to have to explain the LBH birthday shot that I order for people (Nick you have an IOU from me for your short)

As soon as I posted that last message I felt kind of jerky...really hope no one takes offense. All of your children are lovely...but this is what I mean. It's nice to be able to let your hair down and 'order shots' and show LBH postals, etc. without worry.

Just remember the heights at SM are not pet friendly and they have a nice big new sign at the bottom to make sure you know that (unless you go really early in the morning before the park folks are on top to catch and fine you, which is how C&C got some on "the hill").

Run a search for "Stone Mountain, GA"
We've updated the box to tease people. The "US Mystery" it used to have kept it out of most people's view.
Hopefully Eidolon and Artemis will be singing this tune on their way out to it soon.

One of the unspoken premises of the 99 Bottles Brew Tour is that the events are mostly kid-free.
It's unspoken for two reasons:
1) I refuse to outright "ban" anyone from one of my events.
Eventually my own two rugrats will appear at one of them. They weren't at the one in Newnan because they were pooped from gallivanting all over the County Fair that day. But they would have absolutely LOVED JDog's antics, which were nuttier than the adults'. Whether or not they would have drank that concoction (non-alcoholic, BTW)... ick.
2) Parents have the right to make the decision as to whether or not their children will accompany them to an adult venue. With the exception being a venue that specifically bars entrance by minors.
Since I want my events to be inclusive, the majority of events will be at Taco Macs, which are not adult-exclusive (they have KIDS menus for a reason). Well... that's not the only reason—how can you decline the chance to order any of over 300 brews? Events outside that chain are not likely to be at dive bars, holes-in-the-wall, or establishments-of-ill-repute.
Even the "Valentine's Day" stop on the tour will not be kid-free.

Ooooh, do I sense a letterbox betrothal in the mix? LOL
PS- I love spending time with my son since I'm a working mom and hate to leave him with my mother who already watches him everyday for me, but the truth is, it would be much nicer to not have him with us at 99 Bottles events, however, if the place is not anti-kids, then I'm not going to let him keep us from attending, since I'm always (yes, always) sober. Please don't let the presence of Lil' Bit keep you from letting your hair down. If I feel things get too rough, I will take him away. (We did this at the last event because of how cramped the restaurant was...he kept knocking things over, so we took turns running around outside with him, just what parents do.)
My hopes are for him to stay with his Noni at the upcoming event though so that his parents can let their hair down. We'll see!
