That is true, i am the kitten spawn of leaves.
Yes he did propose through a PLB. It was for the Valentines day Magic ring, we both carved stamps for one another, each not knowing what the other carved. We sent them around, asking for the participants not to tell us or even HINT at what was in the package.
My friend Wandering Star, was also a participant and received the package when it returned and handed it off to me at school on the condition that she needed to be there when it was opened.
So, later that day we all sat down, quinn opened my stamp first (it was a cute postcard like stamp for him) and then with cameras on me, i opened quinns. taking my time of course, the first stamp of it was a poem, the second a song and the third was an image of a ring and the words will you marry me. There was a ring in the package as well.
Of course i said yes, and that was in April. We finally set a date last week, and i have been beginning planning the wedding finally.

I got goosebumps reading that message. I knew you were engaged, but didn't know the circumstances. What a romantic he is. They are very rare. Keep us abreast of the details as they unfold.

Thanks for telling the story.
When I met you & CQ in Washington at Search for Davy Jones' Letterbox (thank you, Land Pirates), I about fell over when I realized it was you two! Wow! Never thought I'd be meeting you here in the PNW.
Then, you showed me the postcard stamp (I will NEVER be able to carve like that!) and the marry me with ring stamp.
CQ mentioned it was a PLB ring and that you got his last. That must of been fun to be on the Ring!
Since it such a sweet story and it involves letterboxing for the proposal, would you consider scanning and posting in an AQ gallery?
Or have you already?

Okay, 'We' are Pilgrims in This Land. We are a confused bunch actually. When we first started I allowed my dd to carve a stamp, she did a 'Chocolate Bunny'. Thus we started on LBNA as Chocolate Bunny. I then started to carve and plant and tired to change our name on LBNA. Couldn't. So we were stuck with my dd name. Then this board started and now our name is Pilgrims in This land. It is our family name, since it is plural, therefore, I really do not have a name. DD is Chocolate Bunny, DS is Starfish Boy and my hubby is Telephone Man. The 'boys' do not have their own accounts, but if we meet at a gathering for an exchange, they do have stamps.
I really do need to 'develop' my own name and stamp. Hmmm.

Hmm, I was the first letterboxer in our family. my daughter is Rabbit girl, my son is lil engine. I got my mom Red hat queen into it, my two younger sister, starrising and princess ally. Then my older sister Musical Goddess and her children lil man and disney princess began letterboxing. My DH who hates letterboxing has a name Ratherbebiking and my dad who is so-so about boxing is 49er fan.

I most often go letterboxing with my amazing, talented and all-around coolest daughter on earth, SoccerChik. We live in Texas.
In Ohio, Team Angel Baby is my niece, her husband, and their baby boy who is due in February.
In Maryland, my mother MeMaw-of-7 doesn't have an account on the boards, but loves to letterbox if she can get someone to go with her. She has gone with us when she visits, and has also taken my nieces AlleyCat and Song Bird.
In Indiana another niece, Baby Bird, has gone with me to plant a box in her state, but can't get anyone else to take her. She did get my sister to do a maintenance check on the box with her last week, and sis had fun... so who knows, there may be hope for them yet. :)
