Ok, so we went letterboxing this weekend and boy, what a weekend it was. I just had to share this. First my mom, who is 50+ years old (sorry mom) decided to take the name of the box we were hunting literally...."High Falls." We were hiking the lower part of the falls and she stumbled over a pile of rocks/small boulders. She twisted sideways and landed pretty hard on her side. The whole body! I felt a sudden panic. I thought we might have to call 911, and was trying to figure our how they would begin to get her out of this not so friendly terrain. She laid there for about 5 minutes and finally got up, stamped in the lb, and hiked back up the falls! WOW! What a woman, my mom is! I was impressed. She was soar Sunday morning and alittle bruised, but ok.

THEN, my daughter tripped over a loose board sticking up on a footbridge on Sunday trying to retrieve a box. She did a total face-plant and came up without any tears! She has no skin on one knee and had a fat upper lip and a few small scratches on her nose, but no tears! She's 9, so I was shocked. I few bandages and hugs later, we were off to the GA National Fair! Amazing!

And to top it off, I've discovered I have little red bites all over me! UGH!! CHIGGERS!!!! :-( I HATE those little critters! I'm itching like crazy, but it was WELL worth it! The boxes we found and the stamps in them were AWESOME!!!

So thanks to those of you who planted the boxes we found this weekend that made all of this so worth while!!!

Just wanted to share, because I know we will laugh about this one day!

Your mom sent me an email about this and that she'd "fell" out over this box. I thought it was just a pun on the name of the box "High Falls". I didn't realize she had taken a tumble. I'm so glad nothing was broken and she was able to make the climb back up all those steps. What a trooper!!!

I'm glad you daughter is doing well. And try not to scratch those chiggers too much.

Maybe you should request the "LB Boo Boo Box" postal for them.

You should be really proud of your daughter! My granddaughter is like that. Give that boo-boo a kiss. And as for your mom...well, I'm 55 and I hurt for her! Bur way to go, Mom! We'll show these kids what we're made off!

The Wee Scot is doing well today. Nothing that a little ibprohen can't help. You can't keep us 55+ gals down!! The fall was worth the trip! Thanks for a get hike.
