So, comments in a few recent posts have got me thinking (I know, a first!) and wondering which letterboxers are related to each other? I know starwriter and nightwriter are, and I think hawkeye and desi are, too. And which letterboxers have both a family or group account and an individual account, and what are they?

curious in MN,

Well I'm Snowflake(duh) and I got my sisters involved; Doxiechic and Odetodad. Then my sister (odetodad) got my niece(here comes treble) and my nephew(phillyfanatic) involved. We are all relatively new to the hobby (no pun intended!). I'm the only one who posts any messages.

wondering which letterboxers are related to each other?

Well, Combine Kid and Fast Track are my two nephews who live next door to me. And 3 Ships Sayling is my brother and his family in CA. Fern Lady in Ohio is my SiL's (of 3 ships sayling) Mom, but I don't think she's on AQ.
which letterboxers have both a family or group account and an individual account

For now the kittens and I share an account, but when my youngest is with me she stamps in with the first stamp she carved. She's also begging for her own sig and logbook, so it probably won't be long.

I have also wondered this. Plus...what couples have met through letterboxing? Or were you already a couple when you discovered the sport?

We have one account as a family, J Walkers, and we each have individual names as well (see our profile to find out what they are). My husband is the only one who has a separate account, triviadaddy. But he spends most of his time on AQ as J Walkers. td's brother is dndltd, and our nephew is trailrunner.

My man and I LB together always - he has yet to choose a trail name and stamp ^_^.

My sister, Paper Crane from MA, got me into it. Again, though, she's not on this site yet.

Alas! I am all alone in the the true addiction in my family!

New to letterboxing and quite excited about it I shared with my family and got my sister hooked - her trail name is 'Ponder'. She lives a couple of hours away so we have only boxed together twice but she has "caught the bug" as she likes to say!
Our 6 Woods share a stamp for now....but the oldest keeps talking about his own!

I was proposed to through letterboxing and I got both my fiance (geocollector) and my best friend (ducky day) involved in letterbox - they practically are my family. I also got my mother (gottaloveit) and 3 siblings (stonerose, killykat14, and slam duck 007) involved the last time I visited them in CT - this past Aug.

We're pretty new to the hobby, but our account and trailname is a group one. Me Ma is my mother and father and brother and niece and nephew. I have a feeling that my brother is going to eventually set up his own account, just not anytime soon.

Of course, the only place you will see Me Ma is if you look under the Hall of Fame under virtual finds. Not only did I start her letterboxing, she was checking my account a couple of weeks ago and wondered what a virtual was. Now I can barely keep ahead of her. While she does virtuals, my father is busy plotting and planning some stamps to carve. This was the perfect sport to get them involved in. We might be bringing my inlaws to AQ later this week. They are visiting and Z wants to put together a kit for them. DH did check and there are lots of boxes around both their houses, so we might have to visit them some time soon....

We're definately a tangled family. ;-)

I'm GreyCrazy, my sister Paula is ERVetChick. When creating some of our travelers and special boxes, we're Firefightin' CritterSisters. (We're both firefighters and involved in animal work)

Her boyfriend is LeatherHead. When boxing together they're Emergency Two.

And of course there's our ZoeMomma. She's often with us but only has her own account. :-)

I was the first one, then snagged Paula, then we got Zoe hooked through a Mother's Day box that's become an annual tradition. :-)

Sheesh, and I forgot!

My mother and stepfather also box, both with individual accounts and together. They just aren't on AQ.

The only one missing is my husband.....who goes along for the ride and often can find the boxes better than I can. <laughing>

We are LUNA crew together and have one account (I'm pretty much the only one on it)and one signature stamp. The boys all have different trail names and stamps. Depending on their moods they may bring along their things and stamp in as well or they are just as happy being LUNA crew. We also do some boxing with my dad and step-mom Mems and Bamps.

I live by myself, so I'm the only LBer in my household. <laugh>

I got my best friend (since 7th grade) into LBing: Yiker.

She has since gotten her husband, Spike, and daughter, K4 into it.

I seem to have seen something about a PLB proposal for Celtic Quinn & kittens without mittens . . .

Please tell us the story, oh mighty Quinn or kwm!

My daughter is Little Sunshine and she has her own account (but I'm the one that updates it).

This weekend I'm taking my Mom, brother, and my two step-children LBing for the first time. I know my Mom is thinking about what trailname she wants, but I'm not sure about the rest of them.

My daughter and bestest-boxing-buddy in the whole wide world is Katie-bug. I have another (teenaged) daughter that is hit-or-miss when it comes to LBing - AcroGirl. And finally, I have the Original Silverback Curmudgeon for an uncle: Don (and of COURSE the lovely and talented Aunt Gwen).

I got my cousin, lover gurl into letterboxing, although she is not active on the boards and she has only found a couple of traditional boxes. She wants to go letterboxing with me sometime, but she is in college up north in Wisconsin, so it is difficult for us to get together.

My family (5) are Maple Leaf Red (me), The Blonde Frogger (will find every stamp at any event and is thrilled when people know the answer to his PT), then there is Stewie - goes to catch frogs, turtles, insects, climbs trees, roll down hill, play in the mud; dh rarely goes, but does love the outdoors and then there is the oldest son (teenager) - can't seem to pick out an appropriate trail name- goes cause he luv's to listen to CritterLiz blame me for all the times we get lost! The boys all have their own stamp...depending on what the surroundings are depends on how many actually log in at the box! hahahaha

We all go together including the dogs. We are the Dawg Pound, but I think my daughter will want to have her own name soon. I am making her a new book for Christmas. She has some stamps, but not in a real log book and since she's only 5, she doesn't care about logging in and keeping stamps in any kind of order. She jsut loves looking at them. My baby just got his trail name "Baby Dawg" from WoodyClowns mom. Dh enjoys LBing with us, but will probably never go on his own.

So, comments in a few recent posts have got me thinking (I know, a first!) and wondering which letterboxers are related to each other?

I have some family members with accounts here, such as my sister and my dad. Actually, I think I may have deleted my dad's account due to inactivity some time ago. My sister's account managed to avoid the deleting machine since she recorded four finds of my earliest boxes. (I only deleted the accounts if they had no listed plants or finds.)

Amanda's dad created an account--checking up on what her boyfriend was up to, I guess. ;o) So he's on here as well. Well, HE isn't--he died last year--but his account still lives on. (Amanda didn't want me to mark it as deceased since he wasn't "really" a letterboxer and she didn't think it would be right for him to be on the Tributes page as a result.)

I checked, and my dad's account is gone. (He's not really a letterboxer anyhow, though.)

Those are the only folks in my immediate family who have accounts here that I know about, though. =)

My sister is butterflydancer, and sometimes (quite rarely) you'll find my hubby's FHT stamp in logs. I need to make him an atlasquest account. My sister lives in a different state, and my hubby in a different mental sphere, so I usually box alone.
