Blasphemy! Adams is REAL peanut butter - look at the ingredients - peanuts and salt.
None of that high fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated palm oil or other non-peanut-related stuff!

Adams chunky for me and the Piper, because we both really like peanuts and want the most peanutty. (The sprogs unnaturally prefer the more popular kind of creamy peanut-flavoured shortening instead).

And for peanuts in their highest form, Thai peanut sauce made with Adams chunky PB and soy and red chili paste and nam pla and lemongrass etc... the Piper considers this a beverage ;)

YES!!!!! There's something about the way the two flavors mingle—it's a party in your mouth! And ya have to use REAL BUTTER—not fake margarine or whatever.

Okay, for the real grossout, my favorite sandwich as a kid was peanut butter, cream cheese, colby cheese, strawberry jam and bologna. I still eat one a couple times a year just 'cause I can. And I have my kids hooked on PB & bologna rollups. My husband just shakes his head.....

When I was a kid, I would request a PB and brown sugar sandwich. (It's not any sweeter than PB & honey!)

My mom would ask if I wanted it open face or folded over (since I was little and only had one slice).

I would say, "Open face and cut into four pieces."

I have NO idea where I got this. As I grew older I would often fix this for myself, but I would have 8 pieces and my dad would steal one!

I haven't had this for a while but I could still eat this. Yum!

My other absolute favorite from childhood that I still do on a very regular basis: graham crackers with simple powder sugar frosting/glaze. Oh, baby!

(Of course, I make brownies & chocolate cakes from scratch, ditto the frosting. Leftover homemade chocolate frosting on graham crackers is wonderful, too.)

My dad lived on peanut butter, lettuce and mayonaise sandwiches while in college. That combination has always been revolting to me. I was 25 before I would touch peanut butter, but credit to dh for teaching me that strawberry preserves go much better with peanut butter than grape jelly.

The only way I will eat pb&j is if I have the strawberry preserves. My children can eat pb&j and bananas all day, every day. I give them the grape jelly though. It's cheaper and they don't know the difference yet. I make Chadams pb&j for work most of the time. He doesn't mind it.

I think I am probably a woozle because I TOTALLY agree with you. I can't stand sweet peanut butter. I like it on warm toast, no jelly or honey or other gloppy sweet stuff.

It's good to see someone else appreciates the wonderful taste of peanut butter and brown sugar together. I like mine with sliced banana and then grilled until it's all melted and gooey. After I eat one I have the urge to wear spangled jumpsuits and say, "Thangyaveramuch!"
