Wassa you are so funny!! I love reading your posts!

Lady Lilac

It's all part of my insidious plan...

1) Lull Lady Lilac into Laughing (bonus points for alliteration)
2) Chadams becomes jealous
3) Tiff ensues
4) Chadams, heartbroken, goes out for a beer or 4 (ok, the "beer" part is not much of a stretch...)
5) Unable to bear the thought of Chadams drinking alone, Chadams' best friend joins him
6) Chadams regales best friend with tales of woe and female fickleness. "regale", Chadams... look it up.
7) Best friend, shocked and awed by the opposite gender's callousness, puts wedding on hold
8) (here is the clever part) Chadams is therefore released from attending best friend's wedding, which was unthinkingly scheduled for the same day as the 2008 WNY Gathering.
9) Chadams attends the gathering, much to the joy of all involved. Huzzah!
10) wassamatta_u stops being funny (perhaps by channeling the spirit of Eidolon?). Lady Lilac released from spell. Chadams makes up. Friend sees error of ways. Wedding back on. Chadams gets more beer (ok, I just added in that last part to make up for all the trouble I put him through).

Happy endings all around!

Pirates, my daughters and I moved from Texas to Connecticut a few years ago. We have come to understand that to folks in New England, everything West of NY is "the West" and everything South of NY is "the South." MAYBE, extend that to south and west of Pennsylvania. And, now, you in Rhode Island (east of CT) are saying you are in the West (of RI)!!! Ah..."good times" as Kiwi said. I too am a newbie (2 months almost), and have found it VERY fun and VERY VERY addicting. My daughters, husband and I love it. It is a phenomenal family activity, and couple activity, and alone activity, and group, and friend, and ... Ah, yes, it is addicting! Enjoy! +Peace! ~BSuzy
