Well, thanks for the help and suggestions. My man and I spent all day cleaning on Saturday! I was up at 8:30 and started in the kitchen, his lazy butt got up around noon and started in.... altho it's not really fair to call him lazy b/c he made himself an absolute slave to me! All I had to do was say something and he'd do it.
"You know, we should just put that in the basement" and it was there. "I really think it's a good idea to wet that down with a rag instead of just dusting" and it was done. Eventually I realized I was basically ordering him around instead of asking and apologized and he informed me that it was better to bark orders b/c all he wanted was a not-smelly house and for me to reward him by taking him to see The Bourne Ultimatum please, so order me around some more since I know what I'm accomplishing by doing it!!!! Yay!!!! So, he vacuumed down the furniture again, even lifted it up and vacuumed NOT ONLY the floor underneath but EVERYTHING underneath!!! And it wasn't that dirty really, but he did it. We vacuumed EVERYTHING! We wiped down everything to do with the animals, everything basically. And everything was Dog Odor Febreezed. It looks cleaner than when we moved in!
We decided to wait to open the windows since we were both absolutely exhausted (we cleaned until 11 that night with only a 1 1/2 hour break to take a walk and run an errand and to eat dinner.... oh, and pick up more supplies at Walmart).
Best of all, a friend came over last night, informed us that our house was too uncomfortable to sit in b/c he was afraid of making a mess..... and when we asked him if he could smell anything he said no, am I supposed to? We said, you can't smell dog and he said "no, not like you could last week, it smells like you guys do in a good way."
Yay!!!!!! Still gonna do those windows here soon, and honestly, the big test will be how it smells when I get home today after the house and dog have been relatively shut up all day long..... but I think we got her beat for now!
