I have found out that letterboxers are a pretty good group of people. For the most part they are serious about what they do, or maybe a better word is passionate. They are passionate about the find, the hide, the re-hide, the exchange, the sit and watch these people (I really think they're letterboxers), the outdoors, the indoors, the hike, the craft, the story, the friends, they are passionate about every part of letterboxing even if they don't participate in a part or two. They agree, they disagree, they agree to disagree and they get on with letterboxing. I have never heard anyone here bad mouth anyone else, and the closest I heard to it was something I said. Later I regretted it. I said so, and that was that, and we got on with letterboxing. I have a wife and 4 kids. I have 3 G-kids. 2 brothers, and in-laws married to one relation or the other by the handfull. We are a typical middle class Southern family and a heck of a lot of fun to be around. But I stand resolved that the only folks I appreciate as much as family are the letterboxing folks I know; the ones I know here, and the ones I know in Alabama, Missouri, Florida, Texas, Indiana, Georgia, online here at AQ, WA, VA, heck, I meet new ones everyday. By now you must be asking what does this long winded man have to say that I haven't heard already? Well, it's just this, the best thing I know how to be is me. The best thing you know how to be is you. You go to the gathering and just be you, Mind Racer. You're going to have a blast. That's how letterboxers do it. You're in good hands.

Specific to Connecticut? Not that I can think of. I've been to many gatherings by now and I love them! If you're new, it may be a little hectic at first, because everyone will want to exchange with you, but even that is fun. If you forget to bring the clues to someone's PT, just ask someone else... most of us are willing to share. :)
