Sorry to hear about your grandma. I'd be honored to find your box to remember her next time I'm out that way.

Thank you for letting me know, I really appreciate it. I'll be moving to the Guntersville, AL area. It really depends on where we find a house as well.

Yay! Welcome! If you happen to be in the Portland area or can get here, the next meeting of the PNW Letterbox Club is on the 18th. If you go to the People tab in AQ and then to Events, search for event number 5238. We would love to meet you!

This has been a fun collaborative event bringing attention to some historical and unique water towers.

The Weird and Wonderful World of Water Towers

Presently, 30 states are represented with an astounding 70 water towers. Especially if you live in one of the underrepresented states and have a water tower worthy of bringing attention to, please join in!

Thank you everyone for the kind words! This is my only purple diamond and didn't think I would ever get one.

The timing for this is rather interesting. Until Tuesday afternoon, we were expecting the State Library to be shut down for possibly a couple of days starting October 1st. For the past month, some staff was worried about possible job loss. Those fears were relieved on Friday. Feeling for those at the Federal Level.

Anyway, thank you for finding this one and the two others there. I am especially fond of the Carl letterbox.

That was a goody too! It was fun when Carl's identity was revealed.

Great to hear you and your co-workers' jobs are secure.
Congrats koalacat on BOTW!

Well, I am a patriot and I see the flag as a positive symbol of this country.

With the comparison you just made you must dislike both of those very much. That is where I am coming from.

This country is far from perfect, but I still think it is a pretty good place to live. Let's be like Dr. Martin Luther King and say that we should be living up to the ideals in the Constitution. Let's work to improve things in that direction.

I think Utah has fewer water towers overall, but if you feel the Bacchus Water Tower counts, I should be able to get a box assembled and put out this week while I'm on fall break!

I’m a patriot, too. I display American flags in my yard. That’s why this made me feel sick. The symbolism of his act was pretty clear. That poor flag was probably begging to be burned after that.

Send me a message when you are possibly going to be in the area. I might be around or maybe even in the building the day you are there.

It is going to a busy couple of months. We are planning a trip close to Thanksgiving. Also, yesterday, we had an offer on a house accepted, so there is that, too. If the inspection goes well, we are moving (roughly four or five streets away).

I’m so sorry for your loss. I haven’t been out to Burleson yet, but I’ll look for it when I do. I only started in June and I have so many to find just in Collin and Dallas counties.

Are you going to TALE in March? I’d love to meet a fellow boxer in North Texas.

Congrats on your AQversary! 🎉🎂

As someone who enjoys all these game shows, yes, even big brother, I was disappointed Angela was sent home. She was a wacko a doodle on BB so I was hoping to see her crazy come out.

With that said, I dont get why they are only in Europe.

A lot of these type shows share contestants all the time, and it bothers me. My feeling is, there 15 minutes are up, let new players try to win the money.

If they do recycle players, why not recycle the ones that didnt make it past the first two episodes..lol.

I actually restarted my recording thinking I missed it somehow. I think that this is the first time we didn't have an intro talk with the teams and see them run off to their luggage and to the airport. Felt like we joined an already started show.

I don't like these mix reality show things. On that note it interesting how many teams are "working" together right from the start.

New Natural Area in San Marcos

Ever since hearing about the Great Springs Project that aims to create a hike and bike trail from the Alamo to the Texas State Capitol, I have been anxiously awaiting news of any pieces being completed. Finally, a few months ago I heard about a new trail called the Limestone Link that connects Ringtail Ridge and River Recharge Natural Areas and I was excited enough to create a letterbox with plans to place it there when it got cooler. While researching the trail, I realized I had never heard of the River Recharge Natural Area so I looked it up also. Turns out it was created back in 2021 and I just never heard about it and it has 2-3 miles of trails. So I created two more boxes to put in there.
Well I couldn't wait any longer for cooler weather so I placed all three today and was impressed with the place. I was going to start on the Limestone Link trail but there is no parking at its trailhead on Old RR 12, so I started at the River Recharge Natural Area which eventually connects with it.

Anyway, I just wanted y'all to know there is a new letterbox playground waiting for your enjoyment to find or place boxes.
