It seems like everyone had fun, based on their wonderful comments they shared just before driving away.

Hummingbirdwchr and her son starwarslittleleaguer24 had to leave early to go to a birthday party, but they still managed to find 33 boxes apiece.

The boxes weren't pulled until today, so there was opportunity yesterday for people to try for the ones they missed. 16 of the boxes were not there to be picked up, but in looking at finds on AQ...13 of those had finds before they vanished. There were only three boxes that were never found...two of those would be the ones under the sidewalk in the smaller park...

Lionsmane found the lion's share...and he shared with his buddy Astro D. They had 90 finds out of 97 each. Astro D...I want you to know that I did notice that you stamped in with a variety of colors. Whether you did that to keep you from being bored, or me...it looked nice.

Gotta feel for TeamSz...newbies from Buckeye who brought two really tiny children with them. They seemed to be the last to sign into every box, BUT...there was no whining from the kidlets, and they seemed to have a fun time helping mom and dad stamp in.

In fact, all of the children were very well-behaved, polite, and still managing to have a great time.

Kristal and Ron, and Chile Peppers, we missed you. Hope you just got busy and forgot. I really hope the reason you weren't her was because you wrecked on the way and were in the hospital. Kristal, everyone commented on how wonderful the event stamp looked. I did make one slight alteration to it after you finished carving...when the date moved, I removed the 21 from the stamp...so it just reads July 2007 now.

Now, I know I planted 10 hitchhikers, and I know that several of them got found, but only two have been claimed as found her on AQ. Would the finders at least let me know, so I don't worry that all of the missing boxes were the ones with the HH's?

Cold and Warm front...I hope you got your car problems taken care of all right...please let me know you are OK.

I'm going to retire all of the boxes on Wednesday, so anyone who is going to log them in and hasn't yet, please do so...

Thanks to Saoirse and Towanda for helping put away the chairs and tables after. Thanks to Gadabout for bringing us some more shade. Thanks to star writer who helped immensely, and heart writer who helped a lot but wasn't able to be there because of a family situation. Thanks to Lionsmane who made the most awesome logbooks as thank you gifts for the three writers. And last but not least, thanks to everyone who came and made it fun!

oh, and for those who care about numbers...there was a combined total of 731 finds at the cranmere gathering on Saturday

the most-found box was Jupiter, found by 17 out of 18 boxers. interestingly, the box that was sitting right on the registration table was only found by 1 boxers, despite the fact that I touched it and told everyone..."this is what you are looking for. All the boxes are in canisters like this, although some have been painted brown and camo."

and I don't know how many cooties were there, and how many people got each one...but only saoirse and towanda managed to cootie me. in fact, of the five cooties (total!) I have recieved...three of them came from saoirse and towanda. hmmm...I'll have to watch them more carefully in future...

This is hysterical! How did the one person actually figure out that it was actually an LB?? Very clever idea!
