So as we are getting closer to the 5th Annual Western New York Gathering at Chestnut Ridge Park we are really seeing a bunch of out of towners sign up and I am just "tickled pink" as the expression goes! I am so excited to see so many people come from so far away to come to our gathering in my relative back yard! I can promise you that we, as WNY'ers will do our very best to show all of you a wonderful time! We will NOT dissapoint you! The gathering is going to be held in my favorite park in the area. This park has some amazing things to see in it! Any one who comes and does not go see the Eternal Flame Falls is cheating themselves! We boxers in the area have set it as our goal to make this park a destination place for letterboxers to come to. There are already 51 boxes in the park 5 of which are Blue Diamonds. Recently A very stamp hungry Party Pig went to the Ridge to grab as many as they could in a day. With the pheonix as a guide they managed to get only 29 in one day. I fully expect once the gathering boxes go in (which will be permanent boxes) and as well as a few others I know to be in the works that there will be a hundred boxes in the park by the time of the gathering. That is a lot of boxes to motivate out of towners to make the trip! There will be more boxes than you can get in a weekend! Then there will be a Night boxing event that will be taking place saturday night after the main gathering!

I also will be starting a new tradition for WNY annual Gatherings! In tribute of Crafty Mouse's and my hatred of all things fruit, I will be cooking up copius amounts of BACON!!! on the grill for those people who would like to "break bacon" with us! All will be welcome to sup on the swine goodeness!

So after a bunch of rambling I get to the main point of this post! We already have to my knowledge FOUR states and ONE Canadian province being represented by people signed up for the Gathering!

So the question is: How many other states will be represented at the gathering? I would like to see at LEAST 3 more states represented!!!! Come on everyone!!! Represent your state at the Ridge! Come find out that Buffalo really gets a bad rap and is a pretty cool place! You can take that as a challenge! :-)

I wondered the same thing!!!! That is five states near New York! Now how about I scratch the goal of three and say we need one from all of those five states and maybe somemore than that too for good measure! Could we get to ten states or provinces?

Dude..... this all hinges on when I go back to school in the fall. And considering that you are having the gather FARTHER past Buffalo than last year's closer than Buffalo, I'm not sure I'm going to make it..... However, if someone brings Anchor Bar Wings to the event, I might be swayed....... ;-)
