For those of you who keep track of these kinds of things, the current list has 50 boxes on it....that's 50 traditional and mysteries...no travellers or exchanges or anything like that. :-0
No, I don't expect to get them all, but you never can tell what might happen! Of course, if a certain blue ribboned GA boxer was anywhere in the vacinity, he'd probably scoff at my paltry list. :-)

50?!?!?!? Ummm.... You mean there are 15 mysteries that I don't even know exist? <Whine (rhetorical at this point)>
Not like I'm going to get everything (or even close) either, but 50?
BS

No, there aren't 15 mysteries...lol...I also have some on the trip up, on the trip home, and out and about. This is out of territory for me, so I plan around.
I won't hit 50...lol...but I'm an OCD, overacheiver. I can't help it. It will be interesting to see what the final count is at the end of the day. Or, I guess I should say at the end of the night....I've been taught well. :-)

I should probably add that 50 is my *personal* list...not the event list for Waxhaw and the park. I have plans to hit as much of the surrounding area without going into Charlotte proper as possible.

Whew! The clues are already whittled down to one piece of paper. I don't think I could fit another one on there. Yep, 35 is good enough...

LMAO.....one piece of paper? Oh heck no....lol...I have the print down to 9 pt as it is, but i have to have all the pertinant information...lol ...so, I think I'm at 12 sheets of paper. But I tend to make map and driving notes and other things on the paper as well. And I only carry the pages that I'm working from at the time. The rest stay in the backpack.

Well, we've already had our first lock ins!! Apparently the first wave of 'boxers checked into the campground and started 'boxing on the day use side. They must have lost track of the time and didn't get out at 6:30 and got locked in! They had to call 911 to get out!
Hmmm... didn't this happen to Eidolon at least once?

Sounds suspiciously familiar. I believe bolt cutters were involved. However, I can fairly firmly state that Eidolon is NOT in the state of NC at this time. :-)

Which is unfortunate since he would have come prepared to get out-- could have shown them a thing or two-- probably would have finished 'boxing first and then worried about getting out. :)

My printer has done something funky the night before every event I've gone to so far!!!! But, the Mtn. Mysteries was the worst!!! >:(
Darn thing! I think it does it on purpose just to see me FREAK OUT! At the Greenwood gather it had me cussing like a sailor! It wouldn't print for me all day that Friday, but as soon as the hubby got home that night......worked! We did need ink refills, though!
I thought I'd better start printing tonight, just to make sure! LOL!!!!

Yep. My husband took the message. I didn't understand from the message if they were locked out of the campground or locked in. I called them back since I was prepared to go get them, just as I was told their rescuers were arriving (they called 911). I'm sure we'll hear more at the gathering (I'll hear about it Friday night!).
And the adventures begins...

Absolutely. After all, 911 is open 24-7, so you can call whenever you're ready.
Hawkeye, Eidolon and I all carry various "get out of jail free" kinds of tools in our cars now.

Okay, the saga continues...
Yesterday Waxhaw boxers were locked in the park.
Today after dinner my van got a flat tire. Mama Fox and I hung out at a gas station for about an hour and a half waiting for AAA. The 5 kids seemed to really enjoy themselves hanging out together in the parking lot. I'd have preferred the campfire...
Better luck tomorrow at the actual gathering!

Not only did the gate chick lie, the rangers never came around to check for "leftover" cars and no "loud horn" blew (which we weren't told about anyway).
Long story short, shoafsters and I bumped our f-count up by 35 or more and I never had to show my butt like I normally would have. I guess I've learned sometimes ya just gotta keep your mouth shut.
