LOL... HI COUSINS!!!
I bet they thought every nut in North America was in my family tree!
Sorry I missed the festivities. Friday night I had to go to hospital here in Concord for an emergency D & C. Without going into gorey details, everythings sorta starting to settle down....... They let me come home Friday night after I had to demonstrate that i could void like a racehorse (but it took at least three large cups of water and 2 little cans of diet soda). Was hyped up on pain killers Friday night and vowed and swore to The Wolf Family that I was gonna be there Saturday morning. Ok, drugs can do that to a person. ;-D But when the slow fizz of reality seeped into my brain... I found myself still laying in bed at 8:00am.. and 9:30 am and 10:45 am and... well you get the idea....
The spirit was willing but the flesh.. well the flesh had no idea it was in this world. I beg forgiveness to everyone that I let down. The Wolf Family, Speedsquare (I still have RoseGardners2 and i will mail it back asap), everyone that came, and anyone that was relying on me for something. I hope to meet up with everyone at another event soon though.
I do hope everyone enjoyed theirselves though. The Wolf Family did a fabulous job of pulling it all off. Thank you!

We missed you, Cam!! But, we are glad that everything is better!
We had a wonderful time, and are hoping you do it again next year!!! ;) Just not the having to go to the hospital part!
Waxhaw is a gorgeous town, and the park in great!!! The kids and I are already wanting to go back, although for totally different reasons! :)
Hope you're up and about soon!!!

We missed you Cam, but everyone understands and everyone was so nice! -- and really good sports-- heck-- I was just really entertained with hearing about people groping toilets and looking for spaghetti growing on trees-- what some people won't do for a a letterbox!
Paw Paw told me later that he thought it was pretty strange to see all those women and kids in the men's bathroom on the campground until he found out why!
And now, I get to spend the next couple of weekends returning to Waxhaw for all the fantastic boxes!

Thank you, Cam, for getting the gather going to start with. We had a great time. So sorry you couldn't make it. We are all lucky to have Mama Wolf handle things that you were unable to. Hope you are healing. Maybe we'll meet on the trails at Waxhaw getting the boxes we missed. Watch out for the horse poop, though. =^)

Luckily, our 2 little ones never actually fell IN the poop, just close, near and around it all. Just not IN it.

Jenni P McD's son, MUC, was very helpful keeping us out of the horse poop. When we go back, we won't have his eagle eyes--or is it because he was closer to the ground and had a better nose than us? ;^)
The gather was great fun.

Jenni P McD's son, MUC, was very helpful keeping us out of the horse poop.
Okay...you caught me. That was part of what I did to keep him entertained on the trail. I'd do a girly squeal"EWWWWW", and if he was holding my hand, I'd sling him around so he would have to walk on the other side of the poop. Being a boy and 6, he thought that was HYSTERICAL. So, when Granny, Paw Paw, and Chickadee were with us, MUC was very helpful to point out all the horse poop to them.
Sorry about that guys. :-)

We enjoyed having MUC with us. Could have used his help after we went our separate ways. It's hard to read clues, walk and avoid horse poop all at the same time. Oh, and we were talking too. 8^)

With all the 'boxers that were readily groping around the camping toilets for boxes, I'd have to say that we'd have had them diving into the poo for one too-- I'd have to say we have some SERIOUS addicts here-- that's hard core! :D Though you may have a lot less people at the next gathering now...

Oh, wow, that cake! Litterbox cake with a massive kitty litter scoop for a spoon! It was supposed to be POT luck-- not POTTY luck!
