The logbook is damp and the ink is bleeding. Container, logbook and baggies probably need replacing. Would like to get logbook back.
Could be a short walk...
Find the intersection of the streets where the shot heard 'round the world was fired and where the sailors navigate by the stars. You can't drive any closer, so park!
Walk past the place housing the chaps from whom we declared our independence. Oh, and the one for the folks from the other side of the world. Continue right up to a most ominous-looking entrance, then veer off to your left at the last minute. You'll see the way to go.
But once you do, don't go too far. Should you reach the steps, then you have. On your left a path shall appear, you'll know it by the cut through the fallen tree. Down this path a giant beech (?) stands sentinel over all it sees - which is probably a lot, eh? A dozen and three or four steps beyond the guard, sight 300 to a very tall "tulip" poplar.
Will you make any friends on the social trail? Be careful with whom you share the location of the scroll: on the NE side, under stones.
