August 09: I suspect this one has gone missing again tho it may have been rehidden a bit off the original location. I was unable to find it today. Nor
Easy walk, followed by some tricky footing on the rocks - be CAREFUL! 10 minutes to find.
The Really Nasty Canadians live in a nice neighbourhood on a prime piece of waterfront real estate in Kingston. To find the Really Nasty Canadians (RNC’s) locate the 1976 Olympic sailing venue – it was not in Montreal! Park there, in the lot, near the generically royal street. Walk easterly. You will see a large limestone “castle” behind a barbed wire fence and high stone wall. The RNC’s live here. Locally their home is known as KP. Find the gravel lane that goes south along the big wall, through the boat yard. You are being watched so behave; do not try to attract the attention of any RNCs. Ignore the snarling German Shepherd dogs, they can’t get out. Neither can the RNC's. Continue to a little park. Act nonchalant. Walk directly to the edge of the grass and you will see dot dot dot dot. Stand on the second dot facing south to the water. Look to our right, west. Hop to the fourth big rock on your right. Look down. Have a seat. There will be a large shaped triangular rock at your feet and you are now nicely hidden from the man in the tower with a gun. Back in the grass a little maple tree protects you from view, at least in the summer! Your souvenir is hidden in a crevice at the base of the traingle on the left. Remove some small rocks to find. It’s hard to see as it is in a black lunch sack. Pretend you are looking for fossils – remember the walls have eyes.
We live nearby (not in KP), you may see us, an impatient white terrier walking a pokey couple.
Lots more letterboxes in this neighbourhood now!
