Hello Boxers !
Dates have been secured ! We are happy to announce that “ The Great Outdoors “
letterboxing event will take place on October 19,2019
And group camping will be available from October 18-20

Event info :

Location - Oneil Regional Park in Trabuco Canyon Ca on Saturday 10-19-19 from 9am to 4pm

*Parking 5$ per car ( please park in day use and walk the short 3 min walk to Serrano group camping area B in the main campground )

* Clue packets will be available at 9am in the main campground at Serrano Group site A ( close to the ranger station )

*Water will be provided and we encourage potluck style snacks , but please bring a sack lunch or visit one of the local eateries in close by Rancho Santa Margarita for lunch

*Please bring a snack to share ( not mandatory )

*Raffle items will be available . You will receive one free ticket upon check in . Additional tickets will be available for purchase if you choose . You can buy one ticket for one dollar - OR get 7 tickets for $5, 15 tickets for $10 or 32 tickets for $20.

Raffle to be held at 4:15 PM winners must be present to win / claim their prize.

Park trails close at sunset. You are free to box after the event ends at 4 until sunset . No day use parking allowed after sunset .

I’m trying to make sure everyone who is signed up on this list is planning on coming to the day time event only and NOT planning on camping - if you are planning on camping can you please make sure your signed up over there instead . Thanks !

Aug 18, 2019: The great outdoors letterboxing event
Yay ! Our event is just 2 months away , it will be here before you know it !!!! Just a reminder parking is 5$ and you’ll need to bring your own lunch . Please feel free to bring a snack or drink item to share with others ( be sure to sign up ) . Water will be provided . There are lots of fast food options nearby as well . We MIGHT be hosting a dinner on Saturday night for a nominal fee but would have to figure out parking and such , so if that interests you please let me know so that I can get a headcount , again we’re just tossing around this idea right now , but I’m putting my feelers out .

Aug 24, 2019: Great outdoors campout payments and info
Hi all
Just a friendly reminder I need payment by the 31st ... that’s just a week away
If you’ve contacted me for e mail address for PayPal , made payment and NOT received confirmation from me that I got it , it didn’t go through

Also ... we will be having spaghetti dinner one evening with salad and bread ( meatless sauce will be available for vegetarians or those who don’t like meat ) and hamburgers and hotdogs another night - we still need sides for that night , so if you’d like to bring a side for that night please sign up. I’ve got all of the silverware and paper goods handled . If your vegetarian please let me know so we can figure out something for you for dinner that night , or simply bring what you like

We will be celebrating a couple of cake days and birthdays as well so we will have cake one night .

Oct 16, 2019: Letter boxing event details
Hi gang,
Wow I can’t believe it’s almost time ! Here’s some info for everyone

We are in The campground in group site B - in order to get here you’ll have to park in the day use area closest to the nature center . Then just backtrack to where you just drove in you’ll see a White gate on your right that will lead you into the campground usually this gate is closed - go around the gate and follow the pavement to the camping area on the left it’s not too far.

Don’t forget your sack lunches and drinks or there’s plenty of food options in nearby Rancho Santa Margarita. Bring a snack to share if you choose .

Oct 25, 2019: Thanks everyone for coming to my event
Hi everyone,
As some of you know I had surgery on Wednesday so I was gearing up for that. Now that that is all done I just wanted to take the time to thank each and everyone of you for showing up at the event. It meant a lot to me to see so many people come together for such a fun thing! We especially enjoyed meeting new boxers and seeing some very old ones ! It was wonderful having everyone and I hope to do this again next year!
