Rock climbing for an old lady!

While the log book and stamp were fine, the letterbox was trashed wouldn’t provide any protection in the future. Kaw and I had a spare duct tape pouch we had made - so we put the stamp and book in the pouch and placed it back where it was.

The stamp survived the fire. The box and inner bag melted so it will need some repair work. It has been covered well to try and protect it from the elements.

The Fall Creek Falls trail is well worth the visit, not to mention the presence of this and another letterbox.

This was a gorgeous hike. Thanks for sending us down the trail. We brought our camera and were so glad we did when we got to the falls. Found the box in good condition. If attempting, check out "Fall Creek Falls Nature Letterbox" from the same trailhead.
