In case you didn't know, trails and state parks all over Western North Carolina and Tennessee are closed. :(

There is still letterboxing in rural areas.
Psychic Kids Returns! 10 years later!

Ten years ago there was a show called Psychic Kids. The premise of the show was to pair two kids of roughly the same age to help work their psychic abilities. They would give the kids tasks to help them focus and learn how to use their gifts and to set boundaries with scary entities. I used to watch this show with my mom and we loved it!

Now A&E has rebooted this show, using the kids featured on the original show, now adults, to mentor and tutor a new generation of children going through the same thing. Having binged watched the entire first season, I seriously hoping for a second season, or 5th season depending on who is counting, lol. I truly enjoyed it.

The premise of this reboot is slightly different. Instead of have the kids come to a retreat, the mentors actually go the children’s home and mentor them there.
Personally, I liked having the kids meet another psychic kid to help them understand that they are not alone but no one asked me about this reboot.

Either way, if you remember this show, then I recommend this reboot. No Kitty Paws.

I would have liked to have watched the original show first and then the reboot but I did not know the original show is actually available. It is through Amazon Prime. But the reboot is through HULU.

Does anyone have a good source for 35mm film canisters? I'd like to buy a bunch, preferably with the lids that go over the edge of the canister, not with the lids that you press inside the canister.

Check eBay. They have a ton. Keep scrolling. Different prices. Different offers, etc. I believe those lids are on the inside but they have all kinds.

I know - it stinks. We're headed out tomorrow to plant 16 letterboxes in the only park we could find that was still open - a local town park. And it's gorgeous weather! :(

OK, who sneaked in behind my back and changed that so quickly?

I didn't change anything. I think there was a mistake in your experiments. =)

Each box in a series (regardless of whether it's an LTC, traditional or anything else) can have one find recorded on it per person. It's always been that way.

Some people mess things up when they add a new box to a series, changing the name of an existing box to be the name of the new box then adding the name of the old box to the new box listing. They're typically trying to get the boxes to show up in the right "order," but the finds stay with the actual box listing rather than the name of the box so when someone does that, it ends up showing finds on the wrong box. There's a specific mechanism in place so people can order the boxes differently without mixing up the finds, but I guess they don't realize it or can't figure out how to work it.

Maybe something like that happened in your experiments?

In any case, each LTC in your series can each have a separate find date by the same person.

Thanks for these--actually recognized that tune. They 'light up my life.' Don't have cabin fever, I wish. Had to work all week and husb. has Dr. appt. in less than an hour. Then I'm free to be lonely again. I'm kind of likin' those days I have no one to answer to.

I love the broadway medley. Made me laugh. I love musicals.

Do film canisters work well for small stamps? What about pill bottles? I’d like to reduce, reuse, recycle, but no point in using recycled containers if they don’t work well.

I love them for small stamps. They are inexpensive, and small, so they are easy to hide. I use them for single stamps that are part of a series. The container may not always be waterproof, but an unmounted stamp is certainly waterproof, and if it gets wet it can easily be wiped off before using. I would not use a film canister for a logbook, but I suppose it's certainly possible if the logbook were in a ziplock.

I tried pill bottles.
I had them hanging on trees off the ground by at least five feet.
Moisture got in and ruined my stamps.
YMMV

I've found exterior snap lid film canister stamps in good condition.

Do you mean "Hat Day"? Or are you talking about the special boxes whose clues are only available under certain circumstances?
