Maybe I'm just missing something, but I can't get your example search to work for me. I go to advanced search and put a single letter in the box name field, and I only get boxes with that single letter alone in their name. I don't get a list of "begins with" or "includes".

Hit the refresh button. I just did that and the numbers are back.

Not working for me. I hit refresh a bunch of time but still don't have any numbers.

I was responding to the post about the event in Virginia in 2016, the post from Ele. Forgot to include the quote from it.

I don't know if the browser makes a difference for anyone else but I just realized that if I go on AQ in Safari I have no numbers in my logbook. But with Chrome I have them.

I have had to stop looking at AQ on Safari. Pages won't complete loading and keep freezing up.

Try inserting a carat--^--before the single letter.

More info about basic search

I should confess that I didn't know this. Your post got me curious enough to go digging.

I think Colorful Caterpillars makes/sells them. Or used to. I've seen her selling them at events.

Hey now, seen GNR 3 times and never been disappointed, even a couple years ago when Axl looked more like Michael Meyers then humself.

After the suggestion of several of you, I bought foam to mount some stamps. Then I was not sure what to use as an adhesive. I bought and used Gorilla Glue. It seems to gift up when it dries. What do you use?

This discussion reminds me of the story of how I chose my trail name. The year was 2001 ..... I was legit put in handcuffs, given a breathalyzer, and had my children escorted to a DCYF van when a looky loo in an RV thought I looked suspicious while we were seeking a Jay Drew mystery box in RI. Local and State Police. DEM. Back then we NEVER revealed what we were doing. I told them I was identifying trees. I was finally released.

And Dawnkey is very good at doing that. I'm glad to be a boxing buddy with her.

I've used Gorilla glue and it seemed to work at first, but then I got reports of the foam coming off the stamps. I switched to E6000 and love it. I think that's my go-to glue now.

Yes, because the log book is a log book not a search engine.
You can go to asvanced search and enter your trail name in the finder field. What you get is an aphabetecial list of all your finds. You can then use edit search to order or sort those boxes anyway you want. Including by tags, watches, plant date, last found. It's a much better way of searching for boxes you found or planted or attempted than endlessley scrolling in a log book .

When are you planning to come? Will you have a car? Do you like long hikes? Stone Mountain can be totally overwhelming, and although there are lots of boxes, you shouldn't expect to go there and get 50 boxes in one day. Even 20 is a push for someone without a guide. Other locations (Red Top Mountain, Don Carter state park, Yellow River, Arabia Mountain, Unicoi, Yargo) have more straight forward clues, scenic trails, and only cost $5.00.

I seem to have lost my numbers on my logbook finds.

Your browser is using an old CSS page. Doing a page refresh should fix that problem. (On a Windows machine, for instance, a Ctrl-F5 should get the job done. I'm not as familiar with other machines.)

On your log page I can use the dropdown menu by year to see that in your first year you logged 240 boxes.

Hmm... That's actually a bug. You're only supposed to see your own counts by year--not other people's counts!

Nope, does not work for me. I've refreshed multiple times and still don't have any numbers. Very disappointed in the 'new' logbook. What was wrong with the way it was before that we needed these downgrades?

Including unlisted (there would need to be a way to add location for those)

I found all my unlisted finds from my profile page, by choosing Traditional, 500, and Alphabetical. The resulting list began with all the unlisted boxes, in alpha order.
