Thanks to Team MudCup for another superb LL Bean event, a focal point for Maine lore!! Plenty of ink for all in various locations and climate. We are beat and were only participants, unable to image how these two Maine boxing icons feel, rest well ladies, well deserved!!!!

To pull off something of this magnitude there are always others behind the scene. The hosts at the pre-gathers, Angel Treads, Nittany and Happy Daze a big shout out!! You had your hands full keeping folks at bay, as we all were anxious to get the ink. Last but certainly not least are all the carvers that contributed, a chance for us folks up here to see your talents! Ayuh, thanks!!

We are proud to be a part of the Maine family and of the letterboxing community!! Safe travels, stay inky.

I'm taking my daughter, formerly known as Lunagirl, and my three-year-old grandson to see The Stones in Chicago this summer and I just got the brilliant idea to see Hamilton the night before. The show has a policy of not allowing children under five, which is fair, but brings up questions of logistics, specifically, what to do about a babysitter. I'm bringing it up here because AQ has the largest concentration of people I know in the Chicago area. Atlasquest, what should I do?

You are wise to ask here, for it is my sincere belief that letterboxers in general, and AQers in specific, are among the most thoughtful, giving, generous, kind, and downright helpful people in the world. For example, I myself would happily make the long trek to Chicago to help out a boxer-in-need. So fear not, I'll sacrifice my precious time and gladly take Lunagirl to Hamilton so you can stay with your grandson. Assuming they're decent seats, of course. You're welcome.

Thank you, Wassa. I had considered that possibility, but I was afraid your... headgear... could block the view of the patrons behind you. Things could get ugly. Just sayin'.

Nope, it doesn't. However, neither does the ban on toddlers. My grandson will be one of the few people born in 2015 who can say he's seen Paul McCartney, The Who, and The Rolling Stones live in concert, and he'll have the t-shirts to prove it. Much cooler and much cheaper than Disney World.

I’m not sure how much of the experiences he’ll remember but still that’s very cool and he’s one lucky dude. I hope the T-shirt’s are adult size so he can get the most out of them.

I agree! It was a great event and we had an amazing time! I think we logged about 150 traditional finds... who knows how many event-type stamps and many exchanges!

We weren't quite as hardcore as many, but boxed lots and slept little, got questioned by the cops, had to shimmy under some stairs because the box kept sliding away, met lots of fun people, ate lobster and whoopie pies (not together) and had an absolute blast of a whirlwind weekend. Thanks so much Team Mudcup! I'm glad I was able to attend the final Bean event. It was an incredible end to an era. Loved the Freeport area, I hope to come back to visit soon!

Having said that I want to add that we are both saddened by team Mudcup's message this morning. With all the obvious and epic amounts of work that went into this those actions are incomprehensible.

Nine Question Quiz . . .

OK -- JEOPARDY EXPERT
THIS QUIZ IS FOR
MY VERY BRIGHT FRIENDS!
There are only nine questions.

This is a quiz for people who know everything! I found out in a hurry that I didn't. These are not trick questions. They are straight questions with straight answers.

1. Name the one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the score or the leader until the contest ends.

2. What famous North American landmark is constantly moving backward?

3. Of all vegetables, only two can live to produce on their own for several growing seasons.
All other vegetables must be replanted every year. What are the only
two perennial vegetables?

4. What fruit has its seeds on the outside?

5. In many liquor stores, you can buy pear brandy, with a real pear inside
the bottle. The pear is whole and ripe, and the bottle is genuine; it hasn't been cut in any way. How did the pear get inside the bottle?

6. Only three words in standard English begin with the letters ' dw' and they are all common words. Name two of them.

7. There are 14 punctuation marks in English grammar. Can you name at
least half of them?

8. Name the only vegetable or fruit that is never sold frozen, canned, processed, cooked, or in any other form except fresh.

9. Name 6 or more things that you can wear on your feet beginning with
the letter 'S.'

Scroll down for the answers.

Aaaaaaat.....Don't Cheat!!!!

Answers To Quiz:

1. The one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants
know the score or the leader until the contest ends:
Boxing.

2. North American landmark constantly moving backward:

Niagara Falls .. The rim is worn down about two and a half
feet each year because of the millions of gallons of water that rush
over it every minute.

3. Only two vegetables that can live to produce on their own for several
growing seasons: Asparagus and rhubarb.

4. The fruit with its seeds on the outside: Strawberry.

5. How did the pear get inside the brandy bottle?
It grew inside the bottle. The Bottles are placed over pear buds When they are small, and are wired in place on the tree. The
bottle is left in place for the entire growing season. When the pears
are ripe, they are snipped off at the stems.

6. Three English words beginning with dw:
Dwarf, dwell and dwindle

7. Fourteen punctuation marks in English grammar:
Period, comma, colon, semicolon, dash, hyphen, apostrophe,
question mark, exclamation point, quotation mark, brackets,

Send this e-mail to at least one genius challenged person.
Okay, my job's done!

It seems like I remember seeing a picture at one point, but that was almost 5 years ago.

This is how the help section has it worded:

I know, I'm not much help. I take a picture of my envelopes later and uploaded it if you'd like. I have had a bunch come in for the swap I'm hosting.

I knew 6 of the 9. Interestingly, three of them I knew from watching The West Wing. Well, 2 of them were from The West Wing. I knew about the strawberries prior. But, there was an episode where they were playing poker and the Pres Bartlett kept interrupting the game to ask trivia questions. He asked #4, 6 and 7
