These past few months I've been having I desire to carve a large stamp. Something that could fit on a 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper. That size only because it would be easy to store in a binder once it's printed. But I have yet to decide on image.

I have not found any stamps in the wild that are really any bigger than LTC size. I have not planted any stamps any bigger than LTC size. I kind of think trying to hide a stamp that's big could be an interesting task.

If I was commissioned/paid to do a large carving I don't know if I would really have a size limit. But I can't imagine working on one carving for more than a few months. I think I would get bored of it after a while.

I've gotten some larger stamps that had clearly been carved all at once but the portioned off into puzzle blocks or pieces for stamping/hiding more manageably. They were fun! Personally my log book is kind of small compared to others so if you mentioned the size in the clues, finders could bring a larger piece of stamping material. People will always complain about something! Carve what makes you happy!

I think the largest stamp I ever found in the wild was a hitchhiker that was about 6" square and probably took the carver about two minutes to hack it out of an entire slab of Speedy-Cut with a steak knife.

I did find another stamp that was nearly that size, probably at least 5" square, but oddly enough it had five separate images on it -- one in each corner and one in the center. There was at least a half inch of clear space separating each image, so it would have been a simple matter to slice it up into five separate stamps. That was one of the first stamps I had ever found carved on orange PZ Kut.

Brings back many fond(?) memories of boxing in the snow. No snow here in Florida. Ah! the frozen hands. But the clear, fresh air in the woods was really great.

Thinsulate and gortex boots were my friend that day.
It was such a beautiful day to play in the snow.
Those of you who were first on the trails made it easier for us to follow.
The only thing that brought me back to the house was the lure of approx. 15 different, wonderful soups, all sorts of desserts and so many other wonderful tidbits, waiting for us.

Jiffy, thanks for the reminder of a great day.

under Letterboxes dropdown menu
go to Record Find
fill NAME
fill in OWNER if you know it.
choose HH/cootie/flea option.

SEARCH and all HH/cooties/fleas with that name will be shown.
than do as you would for a regular box.

So this hiker falls into a cave (after a letterbox?) and comes out a year later?

And? What's the punch line?

I know, this is what happened in the episode of "Manifest"; it doesn't have a punch line. But, the way you told it certainly sounds like the setup for a joke. I think that they're setting this series up to be another "LOST", but with more people (because they're in the world but not of the world).

Another song for your enjoyment. I think you can figure out the tune.

Boxing in the snow
Un-der a sky that's gray
Through the woods we go
In other's footsteps all the way
Logs and ink we bring
Looking for logs so right
Got to find that thing
Every so glad it's light

Boxing pals, boxing pals,
Friends all the way
Oh what fun it is to box
Laughing all the way
Boxing pals, boxing pals,
Friends all the way
Oh what fun it is to box
Laughing all the way

Is anyone going to be in the Gulf Shores - Orange Beach area in February that would like to meet up for a stamp exchange? Please send me an AQ email if you are available. Thanks!

A shout out to aMAZEing Adventure Frog and crew, what a fun event. So many creative puzzles and artistic creations to hide them in. Everything was well thought out and coordinated. The details were aMAZEing. LOVED LOVED the Underworld and journey. One of the best parts of the evening was seeing the mischievous smiles radiate from BoxReaper, ChristmasPuppy and that Amazing amphibian. What a wonderful relationship you all have. Hope to see many more collaborations in the future!

I agree 100%! Many Thanks to the aMAZEing crew for super event! Just when you think there couldn't possibly be any more hiding places, Frog and crew find a way. The decor, especially the hand made clue pieces, was exceptional, and I enjoyed every minute of this super event!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have almost all the cards for the first swap I am hosting, and as soon as they're all in and its time, I will send them out. What I'm trying to do is be reliable and prove myself in these swaps, so people will feel good about signing up with me. I realise not every swap with every host goes great.
I have posted another swap, childhood fears, and this time given more time. There is still room in that. Really hope to build a repore with folks and keep making and collecting wonderful ltc's!
