As one would expect, a thorough search of the car came up with not a SINGLE writing implement! No pens, pencils, chalk, crayons, markers, or quills.

This girl is gonna make a great letterboxer.

Well, if you consider a GREAT LETTERBOXER sometimes forgets ALL of their letterboxing stuff, including something to write with, then YES! ;-)

this was a great series. lots of fun. took some time. is a real hike. many of us have done it before for other boxes. trails are blazed pretty well. I think this was the trail that Rubaduc reblazed once upon a time.

While I mostly agree with KatieKat, I’ll add that if someone asks me to something that’s just dangerous (and not actually breaking the rules) I’m ok with that. I’ll weigh the risk and get it or not, depending.

However, if a box is placed in an ecologically sensitive area I think a stronger response is needed.

So you're saying a reserved box can go past it's estimated plant date, and it doesn't go active automatically? Oh, good. I thought maybe …

I currently have boxes on my reserved list dating back to 2015. I have been on a planting binge for the past two weeks and have cleaned a lot of them out and all I do is change the date to the actual plant date before I activate the clues.

I'd recommend doing that after you activate the clues. Off the top of my head, I think AQ might automatically set the plant date to the activation date because I know a lot of people don't edit that sort of thing when they make a box live and if you make it live, there's a good chance that is the plant date. (Or, at very least, very close to it.)

I could be wrong.... this is off the top of my head and I'd have to look at the code to be 100% certain. But there's definitely no harm in changing the plant date after it's activated and you have to edit the listing anyhow to mark attributes, add a location and anything else that's specific to the box type you activated. (The reserved listing only let's you add options that are the same for all box types.)

I've been learning herbal recipes from https://learningherbs.com/

I bought their Herbal Remedy Kit and it was a great ice breaker for me. I've made an herbal salve, tons of elderberry syrup and echinacea tincture. It opened the door to learning more and realizing how easy it is. They do free webinars periodically and post recipes. They really focus on incorporating herbs into your food and daily life, rather than strictly as medicine.

I would love to hear about what you find and what you make. I want to make an arnica cream next, but haven't gathered all the ingredients yet.

"Boxes in High Places"
with no apologies to Garth Brooks

I'm all in cahoots, with my friends in the boots,
And we ruined your oath to not swear.
You're the last one to know, the last one to show,
You're the last one we thought to see there.

And I saw the surprise and the fear in your eyes,
When you saw where we'd hidden that box.
You said, "It may be wrong
But I'm not one that you are gonna out fox."

'Cause I've put stamps in high places, where the boxers climb
For hanging cases. And they all pray that they'll be okay
I'm not big on safe spaces, and you'll have to climb without staircases
Oh, I put stamps in high places

Well, I guess I was wrong, thought you wouldn't belong
But then, you started to climb
If you think it's all right, I'll keep you in sight
And that's when you started to shine

Hey, I didn't mean to cause you to scream
When you found that place with the slime
But you continued up higher, and found some briers
And that's when you swore in rhyme

'Cause I've put stamps in high places, where the boxers climb
For hanging cases. And they all pray that they'll be okay
I'm not big on safe spaces, and you'll have to climb without staircases
Oh, I've placed stamps in high places

Well, you finished the climb, "I've got it," you chime
Then you get your stamp in your hand
You got out your ink, and without even a blink
You left your mark as you planned

And then just because, without even a pause
A hitchhiker you left there
Then on your descent, your clothes you did rent
Then again you started to swear

I'm gonna put stamps in high places, where the boxers climb
For hanging cases. And they all pray that they'll be okay
I'm not big on safe spaces, and you'll have to climb without staircases
Oh, I've placed stamps in high places

(10:04 pm changed "boxes" to "stamps" in first line of chorus.)
(7 Jan same change in last line of chorus)

and

Michael Douglas has won for The Kominsky Method

With high Kitty Paw ratings, I am not surprised.

BTW, speaking of high places... ECP won't let me do things like this anymore, but it was fun while it lasted! It even sparked an outrage thread. Ha ha

Of course dear friends, that was before I discovered the wonders of letterboxing.

BTW, speaking of high places...

I have placed four geocaches that require climbing up trees. They have all been archived by me for various reasons.

My most difficult ones are Cliff Notes where you have to carry a ladder ½ mile. The other one is a letterbox, but requires a boat, once you solve the puzzle.

I would plant more that require a boat and/or climbing a tree, but there aren't enough letterboxers around here to appreciate the challenge. I'll just continue to torture challenge the geocachers around here then.

As an aside, is the first part of your trail name in honor of the great epic poem "Oberon" by Christoph Martin Wieland? To me, it would be fitting because I think you write some pretty fine poetry, Mr. Kenobi. :^)
