I personally would not mind because when I received them, I would be putting them in the pages anyway and would have to remove the sleeve at that time. You could always include the sleeves in the mailer when you send them back...

Those are just my thoughts, but I am new to this and have only received one set of cards so far (none from a Tracker yet).

I sleeve mine and send them in a padded mailer. I would prefer to get any empty sleeves back so I can reuse them. But it is not a big deal. Whatever is easiest for the host.

I have never given it a second thought. I remove sleeves and add sleeves for various reasons. It depends on the card. Some just don't need them. Some really do. I usually leave them alone though. It wouldn't bother me, unless the card was in danger of damage because it was loose in an envelope.

The other day, I was close to needing an extra stamp on small envelope for the newbies and I took off a couple of sleeves and it actually reduced the weight a surprising amount.

Most of my father's family is from West Virginia. I love them dearly, but sometimes I can't take it when they hold a conversation around me!!! Good grief.

Just pretend you've gone to another country and they're speaking another language. When in Rome....

I can live with youse, yuns and those variations. They fill the same need in the language that y'all does.

It's too bad that English has lost the familiar pronouns. They are so useful in other languages.

I keep the sleeves on. I would like to have the sleeves kept on my cards because there are many times I use white cardstock and I don't want it dirty or ruined. The sleeves protect my card from a dirty page protector. And by Dirty I normally mean something that would have glitter inside of it or dust or anything really that would stick to my white card.

Good point! I had not thought about dirty sleeves from previous cards. Even pearl-ex could be a problem in that case.

But on a side note, I am overly obsessed about keeping my cards clean so I am constantly washing my hands and keeping my work space clean.

When did "way" become an acceptable substitution for "far" as in, "There are way to many grammar errors written and spoken by professional writers and speakers?"
I hear and see it in commercials and news on the radio, TV and newspapers.

Pearlex or Chalk ink or chalk or pastels (which I just used on my most recent set) or even some pigment inks, can all leave residues...

I don't usually use white cards.... but my Christmas cards may be white, so I can see what you mean....

Let me ask another question....

Are there some of these pocket pages that fit the sleeved cards better than others, or is it cards that have been cut a tiny bit over 2.5 width, that cause the issue? Or are some brands of sleeves bigger and don't fit in the pockets?

I guess the people who use the sleeves should just clean them out each time.

Get thee to Michaels by the weekend.

Not only do they have a 50% coupon (which is a pain, because you know that one item you really want is on sale, so you can't use it),

But LOTS of stuff is 40 to 60% off.

Strathmore watercolor paper 50%. Get it!!!

Prismacolor pencils, markers, crayons 40%

Recollections washi tape and embellishments. I think 60%?

Inks and stamps 40%!

Open stock scrapbook paper is 7 sheets for $1, that is CHEAP!!! Get those special random sheets you want now!

I wasn't even planning a trip, but now I may need to go....

One of my coworkers--with an English degree from a prestigious university--always says "it's a mute point." Everyone he's talking to just kinda looks down at their notepads. I've tried to use "moot" in conversations with him, but he doesn't pick up on it.

I have only hosted once. I specified using pages, no sleeves, and no glitter. I find it impossible to get the penny sleeves into the pages.

HELP! I'm really confused now:

{{Definition: nauseous
If you’re nauseous, you feel queasy and sick to your stomach, and you might feel like vomiting. Could be the stomach flu or too much food before that roller-coaster ride.}}

This is how I always used it.

If the cards are in the pages, wouldn't it serve the same purpose as the penny sleeves in this regard? I am pretty picky about dirty or ink smudgy cards, but bent corners annoy me too. If a card has a bent corner and I can't trim the card down to fix it, I throw it away (mine, not anyone else's). I have lost so many cards this way.

Also, when re-using sleeves, I am very picky. If will only re-use a sleeve if it is relatively pristine.

That being said, I will make sure to keep the sleeves on yours in the future.

The link you provided is to an LTC, which I'm sure you know by the wording you used. Nevertheless, it is a good lead where to look for the stamp plant.

Since there are so few boxes ever likely to be planted in Antarctica (even with the most extreme estimates of global warming) that there should be a special search for that region. Perhaps even special searches for both Arctic Circle and Antarctic Circle (which almost covers all of Antarctica).

In American English, dictionary definitions are defined by usage. The more that new usages are used, the more likely it is that dictionaries will pick up on this and make that their definitions. That's why the definition of 'literally' is literally being changed to mean 'figuratively'.

I trust the host to do their best and I haven't regretted that yet. The two times (I can think of off the top of my head) that I would really dislike it if the penny sleeve is removed is if the card is tacky and might stick to the trading card sleeve, or if the card has something on it (glitter, pointy embellishments, smeary colour...) that might damage other cards. Sometimes, if I know my card won't damage other cards, and if weight is really critical, I don't even use penny sleeves. I usually do though, because I know people expect it.

I will re-use my trading card pages for mailing, and sometimes they can have traces of glitter or pigment in them. Glitter is usually obvious, but I've noticed that some pigments can leave traces on sleeves, especially if they're not sprayed with fixative. It might not be obvious on the sleeve, unless you hold it up to the light, but it could be really noticeable on a white card.
