I would love to play that.

Better get here before mid May when I have to take it back to Maine! Or go to Maine after that. :) I got it on loan from Aiphid and it has all the expansion sets. It takes up 2 full tables!
Amanda from Seattle came in and played it last weekend dressed as Kaylee! Very cool!

I have a small Serenity stamp so I may have found a home for that in Love Valley now. Probably it will be one of those things where most people will wonder how a spaceship fits a Western theme but a FEW people will smile and completely get it. ;)

Hit 400 found boxes today! Box of Honor goes to Absurd Bird in Troutman, NC.

If I went back in time & told Young Petunia that Future Petunia spends her free time hunting for rubber stamps, Young Petunia would never have believed it. In the last year (give or take a month or so) I have gone on several amazing adventures, visited eight states, assorted historical sites, famous graves, and have cursed & laughed countless times!

What a fun hobby I have found!

Kitchen scales are cheap. Mine hasn't failed me yet to calculating postage.

I bought a Dymo postal scale for $30 back when I started hosting swaps. It has saved me so much time at the post office, because I weigh everything at home instead of having them do it. I love it.

It was a just a quick visit to check on the box, because we were on our way to see a friend of Earnie's about some rock. I personally would have preferred morels.

I went in and looked at them today. Even the picture on the back of the package shows a raggedy carve. I took a picture, but I don't know how to upload it from my phone. I'll figure it out at home later.

Doh! You are correct! Looks like I got a bit over-zealous when I was catching up on logging this morning. I was comparing my log book to AQ and am like, "geez, I never listed the event stamp!" Well no I didn't, because it was Andrew's carve! All fixed. Thanks!

Definitely agree with giving them items they can sport, and put to use... we give our children small cameras, a compass of their own, an insect basket, bring lots of snacks and water, take many breaks, and I highly suggest areas near parks with playground sets. It really does slow down the process, but they care more about the kid adventures than increasing their finds.

Boxes planted on the trail at an event that we follow clues to find are listed as traditional boxes. The stamp that represents the event is listed as an event box. The fact that the ones on the trail may be temporary is not a factor.

I wouldn't call this a consensus. I'd call it standard practice.

My sister told me that if you swallow an apple seed, an apple tree will grow in your stomach and out your mouth. I was always so careful to not swallow a seed. (Not that sister, my other sister. :)

Welcome to this fun hobby (almost a year later). I like how we have been lead to new and interesting places simply because we were hunting for rubber. LOL. Keep enjoying yourself, and happy trails!
