Yes! Thank all the deities and the universe and all of you who shared or prayed or sent out good thoughts, too. After a very rough night of sleep, I was so scared of what I was going to wake up to. Not that it's about me...but I am very glad this morning. Again, thank you to all who did whatever you could think of to throw some good fortune out there!

Recently, someone requested stamps that related to "wind" as in wind-up not "wind" as in windmill. I neglected to save the information but have a stamp for them. Could anyone please direct me to the person who requested these images?
Thank you.

Has anyone tried making paper? I found quite a few different tutorials online. I was wondering what would be the best.
Thank you :)

I haven't made paper since I was a kid. I do enjoy using different techniques to transform plain cardstock or watercolor paper into cool background paper, though.

I do, with pretty good results. I use the Arnold Grummer paper mill kit, but the kit pieces could easily (and very cheaply) be constructed at home from materials from a hardware store. It's really just a wooden frame with Velcro straps, a plastic rack to strap into the frame, and then a thin piece of screen... You can Google for the instructions that come with the kit as well.

Oh cool. I will have to try to make something like that. I tried to do something that I saw that said to put the screen in the water and then pour the pulp on top and lift it out slowly but I don't know how the paper is going to turn out yet.

I've been trying different things on cardstock too but I always have little left over scraps of paper and I feel like I'm wasting so much.

I don't know, but I'm thinking of taping a bunch of 'em together to use as a shower curtain. Or maybe I can cut a hole in my roof and make a skylight. The possibilities are endless...especially when I have hundreds of sheets!! ;^)

I thought of making an LTC tracker where you make your own paper. Most of the tutorials use scrap paper to make new paper. I'd like to make some from natural sources. I've seen some tutorials about about those too. I'd like to try one of these before I make a tracker with this theme.

Now I have my eye on this one.

I checked that one out. The dimensions are 4.8 x 4.4 x 3.9 inches for 10 pieces. $44.79 / (4.8 * 4.4 * 10) = 21.2¢/in2. However, this is probably the dimensions of the packaging not the dimensions of the product.

Let us know how it carves.

We did at a Girl Scout event a week ago. They tore paper, put it in a blender with water, and then pushed it in a screen, and let it sit out to dry. You have to push out as much water as possible. I remember we did it several years ago at a GS event and it was just mush.

Flower craft I will say she takes forever to explain her technique so you may want to speed up the playback using the Settings gearwheel.

The description says A7, so I used 4" x 3" for my calculations.

I did in fact order it, so now I only need to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery!

Yes, I missed that in the title. A7 = 74 × 105 mm = 74 / 25.4 × 105 / 25.4 = 2.9133 × 4.133 = 12.04 in2. So, 4" × 3" is a very close approximation.

$44.79 / 12.04 / 10 (pieces) = 37.2¢/in2, which is what you had. Sometimes I just like to work it out for myself, even though it comes out the same.
