"Take care. If I find she is withdrawing your affection from me, that I do not come down, and pull her cap for her. As for yourself, if you were within reach of my little tongue, I would give you such a peal as should make you remember it for sometime to come."

Hahahaha no no no!!!

Its from a little girl giving her older brother a verbal lashing because he is away from home & has started spending time with another young girl. Or maybe she has manifested this from jealousy. In any case, she wants his attention.
I love this book. When my daughter's kindergarten teacher became unreasonable & nonaproachable, I 'fashioned' all of my letters to her using this book. Amused me so!!! Lol!!

So....9 episodes have been recovered, bringing the number of missing episodes down to 97. The episodes that were found are:

The Enemy of the World (1967-68) - episodes 1,2,3,4,5,6 (episode 3 was already in archive)

The Web of Fear (1968) - episodes 1,2,4,5,6 (episode 1 was already in archive - episode 3 still missing)

Another serial complete - that's excellent. And with only one episode missing from The Web of Fear, it's entirely possible that they could animate the missing episode as they have done with others, thereby completing another serial.

but it just changed status from unknown to active. How can that happen if the planter didn't update it, and nobody found it?

Because an attempt that used to be on the box went away so the last person on the finds/attempt list is a find rather than an attempt.

Hi Guys. I have 2 openings in my Christmas Carols 2013 tracker. Recycled stamps are welcome as long as you change the card up a bit from the last time you used it :)
http://www.atlasquest.com/showinfo.html?gTrackerId=7274

Last year I participated in the "Something New For Christmas" LTC tracker. There were a lot of cool ideas and there was one that I just had to try. So that is what I am doing for these cards! I have waited all year to carve this stamp and make this card. I just went to 2 craft stores gathering goodies. Do you want to know what technique I'm trying out? Well, you'll have to join the tracker to see ;)

Interesting old letter I found!

I recently bought an old picture at a yard sale. The frame was broken, so I got a good deal on it! Anyway, when I took the frame off, I found this old letter stuck behind the picture!!!

After reading the letter, I googled "love token" and got a lot of information here.

Since letterboxers are basically treasure hunters, I figured I'd take pics of the letter and share them on AQ to see if anyone can figure out where the mysterious "H" has hidden her love token. Please let me know if you have any luck!

Thanks,
Rocklun

"Blues From the Rainforest" is an interesting instrumental CD with a wonderful nature vibe! Merl Saunders plays the keyboards, while Jerry adds a few tasty guitar licks. It's definitely not your typical Dead album/show/concert, but it's a great listen! ENJOY!!! ;o)

For those unfamiliar with this music, have a listen to track #1 here:

What a coincidence, I am a FORAYCH alias!

If this degenerates into a public argument, it would make sense, since an anagram of "FORAYCH/Wassa" is "A Showy Fracas".

Just in case you were wondering.

Tracking sticker insanity

I bought tracking because two of my trackers recently went m.i.a.
Id never bought it before so I didnt know. I didnt think about it. But they slapped a huge sticker on the envelope!!!!
And another one for 11cents because i didnt have enough postage.
~~~~~breathe!~~~~~~
So, I prepare where the stamps go, & where the label goes, & I prepare the flap on the back.
But what about all THIS madness!!!??? There is no room left to prep on the envelope for something that size.
Maybe prep it so the whole front comes off at once?
Awe hell. I dont know!
