I don't believe you can go back. Might be because they don't hold any weight anyway like they do with traditional boxes. Just is there but not functional.

Im too picky now.
My Sound of Music ltcs were on blue stuff bc I was broke. I cried as I carved & kept telling myself "it's not that bad, i can kinda tell its Julia Andrews".

Oh koalacat, I sympathize. This is a constant thing for me. I will be 25 this month and constantly people think I am 15. Once I was working for my brother's business and someone came in and thought I had just gotten off the bus and was waiting for my parents to finish working. I have even had off-duty doctors be shocked by my age (and one of them was in Peds!). It is a constant struggle to get respect. People think it is a blessing to look young...it isn't. It sucks. I have been to Disney with longtime boyfriends and have got very rude comments like we are some, um, how do I say this..."excited teens" without even showing any pda. One cast member took us aside from the queue and let others by to tell us that there were night vision security cameras in all of the dark places of the ride. I found that rather inappropriate and rude. I have a lot of stories...

Sorry to hijack this thread. Back on topic, some 13 year olds are independent. My college roommate lived in Los Angeles and told me she was always taking buses and whatnot to get around and to go between her parents houses as well as school (she went to the same school even though she moved away). If transportation is there, I do no see it as unusual. Especially if they do it with others (not just parents).

Is there a way to go back and rate your previous non-traditional finds? I'd like to be able to do it without spamming the owners with update messages.

Those ratings aren't used for anything right now so I haven't implemented any way to rate previous non-traditional find. When the day come that it actually does it used for something, I'll provide a way to rate previous finds.

Until then.... I wouldn't worry about it.

Stick the dowel all the way thru and then pull with both hands on the ends of the dowel. Works best if the book is held tightly between your thighs while sitting.

Denise: thanks for confirming that even top-notch, first-rate, BIA logbook creators can have "issues" too.

I like straightforward clues that lead to a fun box. In my opinion its better to have the perfect stamp for the location and a good hide, then off-the-wall clues.

I had a visitor last night. It left muddy footprints coming in the screened-in porch. They led to a bowl of water which now contains very dirty water. Then they led to a can where I had a large grub which is now missing. The suet feeder which contained only a small chunk of suet is also gone. Who shall I call?

VA, MD, DC folks -
is anyone else interested in trying the rubber stamp carving blocks from sweetloveqiner?

While each block is $2.99, shipping is high ($4 for one block, $10 for four blocks, $22 for ten blocks). At least sharing the postage would make it a bit more manageable.

So, here's my proposal: let me know if you're in, and for how many blocks by Monday 10/14. I'll order, and then distribute at the Reindeer Roundup event, or sooner, if I see you before then -

Thanks-

Here's a situation that confuses me a little: this box has not been found in 3 years, the planter has not even logged on in 3 years, but it just changed status from unknown to active. How can that happen if the planter didn't update it, and nobody found it?

All I can tell you is that when a PERSON updates the status, the 'last modified' changes. That one still says August 20, 2007.

I have never paid attention to that field on the boxes that AQ changes automatically so don't know if it changes it or not.

This reminds me of a book I have! Its called American Fashionable Letter Writer. It is from 1830!!!!
It was falling part so I used my arts & crafts skills to hold it together & make jt safe to throw in my purse. Ive read it front to back. I love it!!

"Take care. If I find she is withdrawing your affection from me, that I do not come down, and pull her cap for her. As for yourself, if you were within reach of my little tongue, I would give you such a peal as should make you remember it for sometime to come."

:-O !!!!

So I am joining :)

Parking near the Four Corners of Law is hit or miss. This time of year you can probably find parking but you might have to drive around the block a couple of times. That is a great box.

If you are downtown Lime Blue is a cute box in the downtown area.

Check out Freemasons of South Carolina.

Hunley is close to the Convention Center and is an amazing carve.

There are others but those are the ones that come to mind. If you want my phone number let me know.I grew up in Charleston and still have family down there.

Let me start by saying I am not by any means an expert, an arts and crafty person, or ever much of a carver.

I started out with Master Carve and the Tan stuff. I used very non detailed things from coloring books. Funny little pictures but NO detail.

Had I tried that with the good stuff, I never would have carved the second HH and also my dear husband, Coffee Mug would never have started carving in this hobby at all. He could see that he wanted more detail immediately after seeing the texture of what I was using and went immediately to Webfoot's site.

I still say that the non artsy person in me enjoyed the little bit I did carve but quickly learned my job in this family was clue writing and planting vs carving.

His carvings are great. Thanks, Coffee Mug.

Hahahaha no no no!!!

Its from a little girl giving her older brother a verbal lashing because he is away from home & has started spending time with another young girl. Or maybe she has manifested this from jealousy. In any case, she wants his attention.
I love this book. When my daughter's kindergarten teacher became unreasonable & nonaproachable, I 'fashioned' all of my letters to her using this book. Amused me so!!! Lol!!
