Someone is going to have to Hijack the boss.. haha
I can contribute some lil blue pills (Xanax) to put in the boss's coffee if'n you'd like... hehe
Might knock her out for the whole day so it could be a good boxing day for ya'll...

Now THAT'S a darned good idea!!

Oh, a couple of coworkers are sneaking me out of work next week while the boss is on vacation to buy me some clothes for graduation. It seems that they feel I need assistance with my wardrobe, hair, etc.

What a darling logbook!!! Such cute pictures. Are you telling me that all those pictures were added by the participants in the ring? I haven't clicked on this last hyperlink yet, but will later tonight. So cute, all of them. I'm guessing just the first page was on the Hlink. Will be a surprise for me later tonight to read and see your answers and such.
Great job, so creative you are!

Now, who would want to disagree with that post? That's just kinda rude.

I've actually done that.... That person didn't want to do that.

Interestingly, we sorta made up later. Ignoring someone might not be the best solution to a conflict. Then again, it might. :)

Mine only has three finds. I made a little folder for mine to ride in that explained what was going on. Those who log it are also able to ask for a card that I will make with the same stamp after August 31 - yes a shameless bribe.

So, they'd give up a card for nothing other than a millisecond view of a card?

That's not entirely true. The way it worked on paper and in my head, is that the only person out a card was the one who sent it, maybe. That would depend if they just sent it or if they traded for it.

Say that I traded my card for any of BoxerLover47's. She sent me a card, I sent her one. Fair trade (like coffee). She turns around and sends MY card on to someone in exchange for another card. Again, fair trade. You still get a card to keep, just from the other end of trading out. Even the person that has it on the end-side has done a trade for it. The fun was just to see how fast they could go/how many times would they stop over the summer.

On a strictly perverse level, I'm glad to have caused this much confusion....

;-p

I went over to the college today to pick up the building keys and I have a bit of bad news for those of us eager to do a little cheeseracing. We will have to cancel this part of the letterboxing event.

I am only allowed to plug in a crockpot --- per my friend the Director of Activities and Events at Wilkes Community College. Seems they have an able-bodied "Barney" that will be on duty this weekend and will swing by to make sure we are following rules. If we aren't following rules, his instructions are to disband the party. Now, as much as I don't mind paying for my oversights and transgressions, I just couldn't stand it if they made us all go home. That would not be cool!

So, pack away the George Foremans and just bring the ink. Sorry Opal! But we could help you and Speck live up to your cheeseracing legacy by dubbing you with new letterboxing names. How about Cheddar 'n Muenster???

Now I catch the actual reference here, but just have to say I still have an image of a big purple dinosaur with a police badge wandering around the event.

Not only did that post not really have a controversial point but I even left it so that it agreed with both of the possible positions.

The Box of the Month is in place. Fair warning, though, I had to slog through about 2 inches of water in spots to get to it (but it rained really hard). When I got back my husband wanted to know where I'd been mud-swimming...

You might want to wait until the trails are a tad bit dryer (and then bring mosquito spray), but it's ready when you are!

Stamps in the wild? Or stamps at home?

In the wild I just pour a little water over the surface and blot dry on a paper towel.

At home I use bubble-gum scented stamp cleaning solution.

I usually use a hypodermic needle held in a pin vise for tiny spaces. Unlike a gouge, which makes one cut, the very tip of the needle makes two passes (left and right sides of a furrow). Sometimes I use a razor knife for very straight lines below and above the letters.

Okay, when I go to the board and look at it, it's there, when I search with the message number, it says It's been deleted.

Is it possible that the board the message is on is set to be ignored? You will still be able to hover over the Boards heading, click Categories, and view the board posts, but if you were to click on a link to the post, reply, or search for that post, it would show as deleted.
