I will be moving to Baltimore soon. Maybe when I do we can meet some where in the middle and start finding some. Or I can come up there and find the ones there!

I've seen it as "questioning". But it might be something else entirely!

I've always known it as: Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Bisexual, and Questioning... (I'm hoping that encompasses everyone :) )

It better! With kids I'm seeing now, though, we could replace them all with "fluid". Gotta love the new generation.

It's a pretty quiet group, but I've been lucky enough to meet other family members at gatherings in the Great Lakes area. Always a treat!

So there hasn't been much on this group. I wonder why? Are people afraid of talking on here? Cause if that is so why should anyone be afraid to speak on here, this is awesome I think to have a LGBT community on here, I wonder if people do not know about its existence?

My partner (Rainbow Penguin) letterbox all the time, it would be nice if when we get more members in this group to have a meet up somewhere? I could plan it in St. Louis, Missouri if anyone wants to try and attend? Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

I know I wish more members would join this group but I do not think there is way to "advertise" the groups on here, just whenever people find them I guess?

I thought it meant Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer at a "label" I could be completely wrong though.

I'm not sure why this board is so quiet, maybe because of geography. There are some really conservative elements in Letterboxing, though, so I guess I do hesitate somewhat...

Unfortunately, I don't get much time off of work - I love your idea of a meetup, though. My brother lives in Chicago and I'd drag him along too (Elis Von Schreker).

Do you have any family-themed boxes? A couple of mine are, some more subtle than others. If you're ever in SE Michigan, we should Definitely do something.

I wonder if the group members might be interested in a postal/LTC swap, kind of an icebreaker...

That sounds like a good idea on the Postal/LTC, I have never done them so I will have to try and get going on them. What type of family-themed did you have in mind? Like "our family" type or what kind were you thinking? Maybe this group is kinda quiet because of the elements I am not sure. I wish there were more activity on here...

Yeah, I mean "our family". For instance, you are in the pin-up group, you can view "if the van's a rockin" which is an homage to a racier element that is prevalent in a local park. It's all in good fun, though! I don't think it has any further restrictions beyond pin-up.

You must join! It's a group - so go to the listing of all of the message boards from your home page, then scroll down until you see the "Pin-ups" group. Select the group and you'll be able to read the description, which basically says that you can limit your plants and searches to those who have joined the group and want to see PG-13 content.

Let me know if you have trouble finding or joining.

Hi,
Glad to see a little activity out here. Hadn't checked in awhile. So...um...where is the Pin-ups group? My partner (Portly Penguin) and I are kind of selfish letter boxers - have yet to plant *so embarrassed* but hopefully that will change soon :). Swaps et al would be fun. We're in central-western Mass. And yes, we're not quite as traditional and conventional as many of the other folks out there letterboxing but we love it, great way to spend time together and learning about new places.

Try finding it this way...at the top of the your screen, select "Boards". Then "all boards". About six pages of listings will pop up. Pin Ups is #140 (give or take) - so it's on the second page. Join that one, make it a favorite or whatever, and then you will be able to see pin ups. Test it by finding my box. I don't have any restrictions on it other than Pin Ups group. It's called "If the Van's a Rockin' "

Regarding swaps - I admit I am intimidated by the scary good LTC's and Postal Logbooks from the rings I joined. I would love to do either one with you all and am happy to run the exchange. Let's see if anyone else chimes in...

Absolutely! Once you plant it adds a whole new dimension, and you'll make a lot of new friends amongst your finders. People are really kind too!
