Set the table with your best china and silverware.

If a vampire can't go out in the sun (not counting the recent spate of hunky vampires on TV) and the moon is reflecting sunlight, why can they be out at night in the moonlight?

Because vampires aren't real and you're overthinking this ;) Back when people thought they were real, they also thought the sun was orbiting the earth and the moon was made of cheese.

My favorite vampire movie is now going to be a series on FX. Can't wait.

"This morning, the National Park Service confirmed the existence of an elaborate network of moonshiner tunnels in and around the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. According to a press release from park officials, the miles-long subterranean passageways, which are believed to have been used by bootleggers, were uncovered early last week. Although the tunnels were just discovered, the National Park Service is already planning tours of the moonshiner passageways. In the official press release, Dr. Khan states that the tunnels are “structurally sound and completely safe for visitors.” April Fools! As far as we know, there aren’t any secret passageways hidden beneath the Smoky Mountains."

If you are attacked by a horde of clowns, go for the juggler.

There is a fine line between a numerator and a denominator (only a fraction of people will get that joke)

Speaking of math, to the Babylonians who invented the concept of zero - thanks for nothing!

And yesterday I was struck by a bottle of omega-3 pills. Lucky my wounds were only super fish oil.

I saw a baguette at the zoo today. It was bread in captivity.

What is the difference between a hippo and a zippo?

One is heavy. The other is a little lighter.

I still have it for free (all the HBO channels and everything on demand) and every show episode on demand says free until Monday night but that has kept changing. The other day it said free until last night.

I tried to find out from my cable company if it will still be free when season 8 of Game of Thrones starts tonight and they can't tell me. They say that HBO offers the promotional thing which I *knew*....but I still think the cable company should have info on when it ends. They said each individual customer's free offer is totally different and they have no info.

But I'll bet anything that my offer and everyone else's offer will end at 8:59 pm, just before Game of Thrones starts.

For those who cannot get free HBO, note that your local library might have DVD's that you can check out for free. I've seen the first five seasons of GOT that way.

Thanks for the reminder! I just reserved Season 1 but the waiting list is pretty long so I may not get it for months. But waiting is better than paying for it, in my opinion.

I'm not willing to wait. It won't even be on Netflix in DVD for months and months and they don't stream it. I just pay for HBO until GOT ends.

My free HBO promotional was gone this morning. I was amazed it lasted through that first episode last night.

After GOT of thrones is over I'm dumping the tv service anyway and just keeping the internet for streaming.

From USA Today:

The two males, Valor I and Valor II, assist the female, Starr, "in nest maintenance, incubation and raising the young" in Illinois near the Mississippi River, according to the Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge.

The family is nontraditional, but established after a history of death and drama.

They eagles have been documented as nesting together since 2017. Starr laid her first eggs in September 2018 with support of the two males. Both eggs hatched, and one of the eaglets successfully fledged, or left the nest. The other fledgling died from unknown causes.

The history of how these birds became a feathered family is a soap opera of sorts.

Here's a fun fact — the two dads were a family unit first. Because before there was Starr, there was the female Hope. But Hope was injured by other birds in March 2017 and never returned to the nest. That just left Valor I and Valor II, who had shared a nest with Hope.
