Do you mean just a knife? I have an image carved. However, do to my failure to measure correctly I left too much space around the image.

SO here is my problem. I cannot cut long straight lines. I thought a knife would be perfect, but have been afraid to use it on the stamp. It is on orange PZ.

I use needles mostly - some gouges, and a craft blade.

Would love to know how this works for you.

Thanks

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to sharpen the Staedler tools. I love mine but feel like they are becoming a little dull. Thanks!

Here's Kirbert's page about sharpening gouges. I generally keep a piece of sandpaper handy for quick touch ups while carving.

No problem. If you have any speedball tools, it would probably be best to start with them, because the blades are replaceable, and speedball gouges are still available. If, after reading Kirbert's page, you still need any help, feel free to AQmail me.
