And what does the fox say?

See for yourself what an actual fox says.

That is the most ridiculously adorable sound ever. (Not the song, but the real fox.)

True story. We live in a gated complex in the middle of town (Visalia, CA). About 3 weeks ago I was woken up by the strangest noise at about 3:00 AM. I got up and walked out onto the front porch. Yep, foxes. Chasing each other up and down the parking lot. Sounded a lot like that video. Weird.

Now I know what is making those sounds in our yard at night, and I appreciate your help with that. Thank you !

But still, no one has helped me to understand why this goose is quacking.

I'm starting to think that all of you are avoiding the waterfowl connection.

Dunno if anyone is still following this thread, but I just tagged one of my boxes as a gadgetbox.
"Tessellations" Box #280670

I sent a definition and a request to GT to add “Gadgetbox” to the glossary

Although my box doesn't have any literal "gadgets", it does fit the glossary definition. I enlisted the help of the math tutors where I used to work to create a math puzzle which must be solved before getting the box. It's an on-site puzzle (not part of the clue) so I think it fits :)

I got a notice about resuming a mysterious and peculiar hmmm...activity, where we have to guess what is being made with the ingredients that arrive in our mailboxes.

It said to let them know if we don't want to participate. [ Actually, I do want to participate.] But the note comes from an account inactive since 2016. I am confused. How can mail come form someone who hasn't logged in for years? And how would someone let them know if their address had changed, for example?

Meanwhile, I have not recieved any new items. I hope to! My address has not changed.

The person who ran this mystery basically quit several years ago. The email you got was because they used a "start date" 5 years in the future when they started the tracker.

I offered to take over several years ago but obviously that didn't happen.

The 3rd secret treasure box from this book/adventure was found in Boston--after 40 years. The clues and how they solved it were on Expedition Unknown last night. It was almost lost forever in a park which was being renovated. The contractors thought the guy was crazy when he told them there was a treasure under home plate (until they hit it with their excavator and broke the box). A really exciting episode if you get to watch. It was on Discovery Channel this year.

Pretty good theories on where the Houston box is, but location would require approval from the city to dig (under hard path now). Will be interesting if anyone gets that approval and finds it. I first heard of this last year from Expedition Unknown, and have seen the update shows. Great that someone finally found another one.

Here's something I found out the hard way: if you're looking to buy the book, don't bother. The original is long out of print, and what they sell now (even a 'normal' bookstore like Barnes & Noble) is just a print-on-demand. It's really crappy quality and the pictures are so dark, you can't see any detail.

But there's a great website that has high resolution images of all the pictures:
https://12treasures.com/

If you click on View Full Size for an image, you can zoom way in.

Thanks. I bought it a couple years ago and was quite disappointed in the quality.

When we watched Josh's show, we were thinking they should give the winner that original painting (or a big copy). That would be a cool prize.

I didn't notice that she didn't get something, but I just figured the other guys were being nice to the kids and making them feel part of the whole thing. She probably didn't care.
