I don't consider myself unlucky; I'm just saving it up for something big like the lottery. ;-)

It is already on my list to go there. And we will be going to a couple when we go back east as well. I'm just looking to get in on another aspect of this fun hobby.

you keep your ears and eyes open. you remember things
Thanks Tiggs,
Probably the answer I was looking for was "hang in there. You'll get a chance."
I've been in this hobby since July. I have carved a BILLION stamps and donated them to other people. I work hard and teach my children to make each box better than when we found it.
Events are fairly few here, and with 8 children I don't have a lot of time to go far, yet. I'm attending my first one tomorrow-- so stinking excited!!!
Anyway, I'll try to be patient.

Hurray! On both counts.
You'll really enjoy your first event. I've gone to a few around here. The bigger they are the earlier you should get there. I found that out at an event this past summer.

You probably do have more than me. I've never sought them out. I've only encountered the ones that were at events I attended.
I've never had the desire to network to get any of them. It's just always been a nice surprise at gatherings and I've never looked for any traditional ones.
That's worked just fine for me so far.

Well, then, for you, it is simply about luck.
But I think you do have some of the traditional ones. If you did the Woodland Folks series he has abut 3 of them in there.

If you do decide to plant them waaaaaay up north I hope there is a gracious host and tour guide in the area that can help a southerner out on a little adventure ;) These stamps sound fabulous and I can only hope to get some of them into my logbook.

Yes. It is.
Yes. I have that series.
I was for the most part referring to the ones that appear at events since those seemed to be the ones that were originally referred to before the discussion mentioned traditional plants.

Which one, the clue hidden in the casket or the box hidden in the casket?

Yeah, but what's worse? One who would plant that, or one who would go looking for it??

Somebody's been on fb. lol
He says that after he hid it walked back to his car so the hike doesn't seem to be the hard part. And he is an elderly man who was carrying a very heavy object. I think a lot of people are over thinking it.
He was supposed to be on the Today show today giving one of the clues. I meant to watch and forgot. It should be online. Some of the people who have been looking for it are pissed off that he made it more public.
LOTS of different stuff posted on these sites, theories, etc, etc....
If I managed to figure it out I'd keep mum and jump on a plane. lol

As Kelsung said, it doesn't appear any more difficult than a three star Mapsurfer.
