I just saw these patches and thought someone here might be interested. There's a patch set with "Get Stamped", and an image of a (cancellation) stamp. Proceeds fund interpretive and educational programs at National Parks :D

If memory recalls Lock Wench had several finds and milestone patches. You might check with her.

Please let me know who you have used for embroidered patches and how the quality turned out. I'm sending the Live & Breathe event patch design out for quotes and there are LOTs of companies to choose from.

I used Moritz for several patches, including the (infamous) Boxers n Briefs patches. I loved their customer service, ease of communication, and great quality.

Yes, use Moritz! Ask for Eva Garippa. She is familiar with our letterboxing hobby and helped make all our patches(Grateful Letterboxers, LBMA, L&B XV). She's super helpful - their patches are awesome!!!

Custom patches?

Hi all
We were wondering where a good place to get custom patches made would be. My daughter is wanting to make some fun patches to sell. Thinking it would need to at least 100 or so.

Looking for recommendations.

Thanks!

it seems they have a monolopy on the letterboxing patch business!

Their patches are high quality and they have great prices. They made the Texas letterboxing patch (not sure if you have seen that). They will also be making the patch for the Live and Breathe event.

path tags - tag back for letterboxing
Board: T-shirts! Patches! Paraphernalia!
Aug 24, 2018 9:21am
Thread
I was looking at the path tag site yesterday and suggested they add a tag back design for letterboxing. Someone asked if I had anything specific in mind... so any suggestions on what the design should be?

I think a hiking boot print would be a good graphic. Other ideas or thoughts on the text?

You can see the existing designs here (scroll down):

I agree! But not the hiking boot. A stamp and logbook, which is specific to letterboxing. I would get that on the back of my pathtags and would love to see it on the back of someone else's tags.

Hi Peachfaced! Thanks for responding on the pathtag forum. I like the idea of a logbook with a stamp, but I haven't found any graphics that we could use as is...it needs some design work.

any idea what the process is for getting a new tag back implemented? If it's based on volume we may have an issue. Even regional geocaching groups probably outnumber us on pathtag designs.

Good question. For clubs tag backs, they prefer to have 15+ members. So perhaps if we have at least 15 folks interested in producing a tag and intend to use that tag back, it'll be ok? OR, perhaps if that's not possible, it could be a "give back" (paid) tag back.

As for submitting, you need to make sure to include your enamel code for each of the plating types; https://i.imgur.com/ni6cPr3.jpg

2015 post from Mike: "If you are running a club with 15+ participants, we are making custom tag backs now for clubs that meet that requirement. The club leader should contact support with a design to start the process. We'll do the tag back at no cost to the leader or the club members and then the leader will be set as the tagback owner and will be allowed to grant permission to club members to use the back."
