Clever idea, Open Space!

My friends and I attach path tags to our backpacks with keyrings, which we hang from the holes in the zipper pulls.

I've done that too, but if you put more than one on the keyring they rub together and wear off the finish :-( I've also tried gluing them to findings to turn them into hat pins but they tend to fall off or break off from the pins.

Yes they do wear, especially those with gold, copper or black plating. It gives them character! I carry a few and they are showing wear but how it goes when your carry around the little treasures!

I was just going to say that. LOL.

This also works to protect your skin if you are allergic to nickel and would like to wear costume jewelry.

I use coated-wire keychains to attach the pathtags to my letterboxing pack. AND, place each pathtag in its own clear plastic coin capsule to protect it. When the capsules become overly scratched it's simple to just replace that and the tag will sustain in perpetuity.

Hi Turtlegirl 19,

Fell off a small dam trying to retreive a 'may have been washed away by the flood' box last year. (Yeah, somehow missed the LBing Common Sense training!) Got bruised, wet, scratched, and embarrassed. Didn't drown but still having the occasional nightmare. Need this patch!!! Procedure?

and where do you get these plastic coin capsules? Maybe you could stock a few of them for us?

I was thinking of coating my pathtags with a couple of coats of clear nail polish. Anyone tried that? Pathtags is sort of a new thing for most of us.

I think they also sell something similar at Hobby Lobby.

Are you coming to WL&B at the end of the summer? If so, will you bring them and sell them at the " trade market?"

They have mentioned this on the We Live and Breathe Lettetboxing event page. Setting up a location and time for attendees to sell their letterboxing wares to other attendees. I know there are a lot of stamp and logbook makers, but I imagine there are lots of other goods to sell too.

Do we have to attend the event to get one? Or could we purchase one from you? I've just started collecting pathtags and geocoins so the procedure for acquisition is still a bit confusing to me.
Leaving Pathtags in Boxes

Thread
Hello all,

I was just wondering how leaving pathtags (https://www.pathtags.com/) in letterboxes is generally received. I personally love geocoins and pathtags even though I strongly prefer letterboxing to geocaching. Since pathtags are more of a signature item than anything else, I was wondering if it was considered rude or anything?

Wanted to check on the general consensus before I dropped any. Even though I've gathered it's not common, my own thought is that it's a nice gesture or surprise for the next person to find a box, either someone new to tags/coins or someone who already has a collection. :) But, I'm fairly new to all of this. Thanks in advance!
