I will absolutely say a prayer right after I finish typing this. Hopefully all decisions lead to a safe and comfortable future for your mom and your brother -- and everyone else.

Hoping it all goes well, speedsquare, and prayers will indeed be said. I just lost my mom on January 12 after many years of taking care of her with my dad. We placed her into skilled nursing in December and it is such a hard move to make. We were blessed and grateful for the very good care she received during her last weeks. I hope your mother adjusts well.

For our road trip we will be taking a 15 hour boxing vacation down 89 to 93 to 3 to 495 and into Tewksbury.
VISA gift card, gas cards or gift certificates to OSJL, Dunkin Donuts or BK would help us.
Thank you all so much.

You forgot to mention your intention to post your preferred ultralight gear list (3 "essential" Dewdrops sawed in half and sealed on the open side w/ duct tape to save weight, along with 1/2 of a wetwipe, a sawed-off Bic pen, 1/2 of a bandana and a sandwich bag with a single sheet of folded paper strapped to your waist with string—no sig stamp ((saves 8 grams)), only fingerprints) to YouTube and put a link to your Patreon below the video. Also, be sure to put your long-dreamed-of $350 Garmin GPS and Exacto (um, pretty sure that's right) underwear on your (shared, of course) Amazon wish list for supporters of your channel.

I forgot to mention that all of this halfness costs twiceness and has halvsies the durability.

The Dewdrop saw is specialized and must be ordered from Germany. It runs about two weeks' pay, but is specially engineered to cut things that are dewdrop-shaped perfectly in half, thus maximizing your rejected halfness on one side without sacrificing your usability of your halfness on the other.

No point in doing things halfnassed unless you really mean it.

There have been enough discussion in another thread about this poster. While I was looking at it, for the second time, I was thinking about other captions that would work with it. Here is my list:

  • I know we came out here to get that letterbox, but I'm enjoying walking while holding your hand.
  • That is a beautiful tree. Should I carve a stamp of it?
  • You know our kids are back there at our house. Do we have to go back?
  • That is a beautiful sunset.

What about your ideas.

At least 25 years ago I called a local appliance repair company because the advertised on my favorite radio station (WKDR, Louie and Jim for those of you in my area)

He was good and price was quite reasonable.

Yesterday I needed a fridge person again.
Yelp reviews sent me to a local, one-man operation.
He came today, worked on my fridge for about three hours.

Son of a gun if it wasn't the same guy working for himself now-a-days.

He recognized my voice.
As we chatted while he worked we figured out why he was so sure he knew me.

Small world.

When you look at their member number it's OLD.

Yeah, it’s funny. Of all the AQ members, only a small percentage use the message boards. And a whole lot of finders, especially the more casual occasional ones, never plant anything. And it’s a big country (and even bigger planet), so unless someone is finding boxes in your neck of the woods, you really have no reason to even know they exist.

Then you take a trip to THEIR neck of the woods, plant some box far from home, and suddenly you start getting finds from veteran boxers you’ve never heard of.... pretty cool, actually.

I've noticed that also. They just box and don't get caught up in all the board stuff. I especially notice it when they have planted a box and it pops up in the new boxes.

Who's on line now

Ok, this one's for Grrly Girl and Trekkie Gal.
Grrly Girl you will play the part of someone who is online and thinks she is the only person who is ever online, and you Trekkie Gal will play the part of someone who is online but thinks they are surrounded by others who may or may not be on line.
The winner is the one with the most points at the end of the round.

Where is everyone?
Was it something I did at an event that makes everyone run when I visit AQ?
Was I churlish, vulgar and uncouth?
Did I plant a scurrilous, barbaric and gross letterbox?
Why, oh why is there never anyone here whenever I'm checking into AQ?
I feel so alienated.

Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there!
He wasn't there again today,
Oh how I wish he'd go away!

When I came home last night at three,
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall,
I couldn't see him there at all!
Go away, go away, don't you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don't slam the door...

Last night I saw upon the stair,
A little man who wasn't there,
He wasn't there again today
Oh, how I wish he'd go away...
