I don't know about a rating, but I have downloaded it and tried it. I would not let any of my kids play it until they are 18. Some very heavy "romantic" and emotional themes that I don't think under 16 should be exposed to.

Greetings,

I could not help but see the charming brisk note regarding Jack the Ripper and his precious letter.

My, how curious. Sounds like a bit of a grand mystery to me.

Granted, the world is full of many mysteries, I'd rank this one Fifth. Yes. Fifth.

The 13th Mystery

To name a few:

A haunting love letter penned by a mysterious woman that history can only speculate upon.

Mythical and not so mythical creatures of our world.

The curious case of a vampire bunny.

Cursed lakes.

To name a few.

what's the oldest active box on AQ?

Either I'm missing something (very possible), or this is a query that cannot be made on AQ?

The first box listed is Los Obos Oaks. Or this one which looks to be one of the oldest planted boxes Accotink Bay.

My family of boxing converts
Board: Yakking It Up

I have converted many people to letterboxing over the years.

I always thought of it as family: the people I've converted as my daughters and sons and granddaughters and grandsons.

For example, I converted Yiker, so she's my daughter, and she converted her husband & kids so they are my grandkids.

I probably have great-grandkids.

I converted Red Fox when we first started dating and then I married him.

Which means, I married my son!!

I assume you mean for the oldest planted box because you can't get an earlier listed box than the #1 box. Is it active or retired? I did get some retired boxes but the original question was what is the oldest active box. So, I am curious, which box did you get? I redid my search and it came up with the same results.
Thanks,
Jan

Hi fellow letterbox community members!

I know that I have helped others by "voting" in their contests.....so....I'm asking for the favor to be returned.

I have two music videos entered in a contest.
One part of the contest is pure "Popularity Contes".... i.e.. Who can get the most "LIKE"s on their video.

I am asking for your help here. The link goes to a YouTube playlist from Woodsounds Flutes.

My entries are "by Brent Adams" which should be the first two entries if the link does what it should.

Thank You so much for your help! You might even enjoy the music! ;-)

Just copy the link and paste it into your browser.
Like my two videos to help me toward winning a new Native American Style Flute. It will only take a couple of minutes of your time...unless you would like to watch more of the videos.
Thanks again!

Done....and I really enjoyed the music . Do you know the maker of the flute you could win? A year ago went to Canyon De Chelly and met Travis Terry --Native Flutist of the Pima Nation-- and he also makes the most beautiful flutes. Check him out.

I have some of Travis' music. He is a wonderful flute player and a great guy. He plays flutes made by High Spirits from Patagonia, Arizona. I'm a dealer for these flutes, along with making flutes myself to play and sell.

The Competition is run by Woodsounds Flutes from Utah. Their flutes are "fancier" than mine or the ones from high Spirits and cost a lot more. If I win this portion of the competition I will be awarded $500.00 toward the purchase of one of their flutes and I have already been granted a 20% discount that has to be used by the end of the year.

Thank You so very much for your help!

Remote car starters
Board: Yakking It Up
Nov 1, 2016 1:38pm
Thread
Hi. We are trying to decide if we want to get a remote car starter for my son for Christmas. He is a senior in highschool. He is also doing a co-op at an elementary school, then goes to work after that. He's in and out of his car all day. We live in upstate NY. It's cold and snowy here.

I called two different places and got somewhat conflicting reports on them. One place told me that for $199 (sale this week) I get one with two remotes with a 1000 foot range. My son parks in the back of the HS parking lot. I have no idea how far it actually is.

The other place said for $250 I get a remote with the same range, but for $280 I get one with 3000 ft range. He said a 1000 ft range is basically out your front door to your driveway. He said 3000 ft is much better. Said you have to consider going thru the wall of the building and all the way out.

The car is a 2005. It's got low miles on it, We are hoping it lasts thru college and at least a few hrs after. However 280 is a little more than I wanted to spend. Does anyone have a remote starter. Will the 1000 feet truly not be good enough or is the other guy just trying to upsell me. I would hate to buy it and him have to go outside to start the car.
Thanks.
Vicki
