Well, I feel youngish. I was just barely 52 when granddaughter #1 was born, and I'll be almost 54 when the next one arrives in April. My mother always told me that spoiling the grandkids was her job, and I am trying to follow in her footsteps. My Mom was always concerned that she couldn't keep up with the material spoiling of the 'other' sets of grandparents, but I could see that it's your time that really spoils them and that is what they remember. I can't wait until I can take Mia to the Children's Symphony--that girl loves music. Enjoy the little bundle. Almost nothing feels as good as a baby sleeping in your arms.
Congratulations.

It's called checking out good hiding spots for your own future box. 8-} We found a box that way. The clues were on AQ, but there are so many boxes at McDowell Nature Preserve we hadn't brought that particular one with us. If I bring too many sets of clues with us, JR gets nervous about going. He's not a big hiker.

Something and Steak Day - I don't think it will ever gain wide popularity outside of the rather guy-oriented website that promotes it, no matter how good an idea it is ;)

Your reluctant and silent LSS has nightmares. Just tonight he told me of the one he had last night. We did a bunch of cemetery boxes this past week. In his nightmare he said we were out letterboxing in a cemetery when many zombies appeared chanting "need clues, need clues."

No, no regrets. Curiosity is in my nature. When I told my better half, he laughed and rolled his eyes. Kinda like, you mean someone or several someone's actually wasted time creating a website for such a purpose. We'll file that in the folder titled "Another Cat Bites the Dust." How's that for PC-ness?

Funny, in one cemetery, someone told me to retrieve a box you had to pull it from a spot where an air source was blowing air from underground. Another layer to add!

I'll be cutting my hair soon. It'll be closer to 15" though. I would cut off more, but I still need to be able to tie it back for work and campfires.

I've donated a few times already, usually 12-15". I'd really like to make it 18". I guess it could happen. Depends on how I feel when I get it cut. Maybe I'll get brave and go for it way short for the summer.

Quote I've donated a few times already

I've donated twice for a total of 31". I think I'll make it to 18 myself before I get this one cut. I'm already to 12 or 13. I'm just too lazy to get my hair cut all the time. I hate going in and waiting, like at Great Clips. And I hate spending a lot for an appointment-type haircut.

This will probably be my last donation though. My hair is turning too gray. I think the kiddies would rather have no hair than look like Jerry Garcia...
