Congratulations! The Grandmas seem to get younger all the time. 43 is not too far off for me but since my oldest is 10, I figure I'll have a while to wait yet. But I figure it's great to be a young Grandma 'cause then you'll have all that time and energy to give him.

Thanks for sharing the happy news!

I was working with a group of kindergarten children today. We were discussing Maple Sugaring & Maple Trees etc. As we were walking on the trail I asked the children if they would like a maple leaf stamp on their hands...... well they tackled me! I had 12 little hands poking at me. Once I mentioned the stamp, the kids had no problem keeping up with me on the trail. The adults had their hands stamped too!

Smiles all around for me today... what a nice feeling. I had to share!

I am glad you weren't camping with us on Friday night at the CCC Gathering. =) We did miss you, though, and your name did come up a few times, too! We were cold, but **THAT** sure would have made for an 'interesting' time. Heee
Congrats on the new addition!!!

Well, I feel youngish. I was just barely 52 when granddaughter #1 was born, and I'll be almost 54 when the next one arrives in April. My mother always told me that spoiling the grandkids was her job, and I am trying to follow in her footsteps. My Mom was always concerned that she couldn't keep up with the material spoiling of the 'other' sets of grandparents, but I could see that it's your time that really spoils them and that is what they remember. I can't wait until I can take Mia to the Children's Symphony--that girl loves music. Enjoy the little bundle. Almost nothing feels as good as a baby sleeping in your arms.
Congratulations.

It's called checking out good hiding spots for your own future box. 8-} We found a box that way. The clues were on AQ, but there are so many boxes at McDowell Nature Preserve we hadn't brought that particular one with us. If I bring too many sets of clues with us, JR gets nervous about going. He's not a big hiker.

Something and Steak Day - I don't think it will ever gain wide popularity outside of the rather guy-oriented website that promotes it, no matter how good an idea it is ;)

Your reluctant and silent LSS has nightmares. Just tonight he told me of the one he had last night. We did a bunch of cemetery boxes this past week. In his nightmare he said we were out letterboxing in a cemetery when many zombies appeared chanting "need clues, need clues."

No, no regrets. Curiosity is in my nature. When I told my better half, he laughed and rolled his eyes. Kinda like, you mean someone or several someone's actually wasted time creating a website for such a purpose. We'll file that in the folder titled "Another Cat Bites the Dust." How's that for PC-ness?

Funny, in one cemetery, someone told me to retrieve a box you had to pull it from a spot where an air source was blowing air from underground. Another layer to add!

I'll be cutting my hair soon. It'll be closer to 15" though. I would cut off more, but I still need to be able to tie it back for work and campfires.
