When I was in Paris, I got into a cab and asked him to take me to the Eiffel Tower. He had no idea what I was saying. I got out and found another cab.

I know just enough Spanish to confuse Mexican folks here into thinking I know Spanish. Apparently I have great pronunciation. So then I always end up have to say "Lo siento, no hablo español."
They laugh or go What!? Or just pretend I'm lying and keep talking to me. Man! I gotta learn Spanish!!!!

Yes, they do make 3-ring binder pages for postcards. I don't put mine in binders, but I do buy the individual sleeves. I have purchased from this site before, and their customer service is good, but then I found I could get better prices by buying on eBay.

Dern. All they had at Hobby Lobby were sleeves that had pockets that refer 4.25 x 5.25. Looked right. Half off. They are perfect for old Kodachromes. But not new cards :/

another postcard tracker?

I am currently in the vacation postcard tracker. I am having so much fun with it! I love cards with stamps on them. So much so that I have even harassed ebay sellers that sell postcards to send the postcard with an ink stamp, or a small drawing/doodle, & a postal stamp instead of in an envelope. Lol. I have a small handful from before the vacation tracker. I just love these things.
So I was thinking of a fun post card tracker.
Home town. Maybe it's been done? Whether it is the town you currently live in, the city closest to it where it would be easy to get postcards, or your hometown that you may be visiting soon. If you wanted it to be your hometown or your current town and it is hard to get postcards from there, you can't even make your own postcard.
Then carve a stamp of something from that town. It could be your favorite ice cream stand, or the Town Hall, or a person that is known in that town, or a favorite hangout place, you get the idea :-) and then of course your signature stamp. Does anyone think this would be a cool idea?

There was a tracker at least once, but after we mailed all of our postcards the owner of tracker never mailed the cards back out. It was a really fun tracker and I enjoyed making the postcards. I think it would be a good tracker for you to set up. Not really sure what happen to Cannonball as she never logged on after that. Here is the tracker that never got mailed back:

No, you would send them to everyone else yourself. As long as no one minded everyone in the tractor having the address I guess. It will also be nice if we could list the postcards, like mine could be "Pass Christian, Mississippi".

Maybe?

Okay, that would be different I guess. My stamp for my hometown was one that had to be colored many different colors and I don't even think I could stand to color it again. It really wasn't a good carve but with the colors it made it look a lot better than it was.

I've never joined a post-card tracker before (just LTC swaps), but I'd love to join if you're all OK with that. I'm actually visiting my hometown right now so it's wonderful timing for me to grab some postcards/make some if I can't find any.

Sign me up if you've got it available!

Thanks for creating it as an LTC so the postcards can be registered. I joined a previous postcard exchange but it was created as a postal tracker so we couldn't register the cards received.

I think it may have been tricky deciding how to do it. I just thought, Letterbox trading CARD, postCARD. Then sure enough, postcards are considered LTCs in the listing options. But I have some listed as OTHER.
I also like being able to attach my card to the tracker to make it easier to log. And if people log my things & vice versa, I can tell what they have so as not to send duplicates. Also, I love being able to see who has found what of mine and again vice versa. It's like "oh ya, I know you! I have three of your LTCs and have found 19 of your boxes". I love that :)

girl scouts wanting to trade with every state

Hey guys. My daughter is a girl scout and would like to trade postcards with another girl scout from every state. I told her troop the best place to find someone to trade would be here on Atlasquest. Ideally she would like to trade with another troop but she would exchange with anyone on here. Just pick a card that represents your state and then on the back write a couple of fun facts about your state. Y'all have a great day.

My granddaughter is an Ambassador Girl Scout and I am the leader of her troop. I will ask the girls if this is something they would like to do.

We letterbox whenever we go on a trip and we will be heading to London, England in 2017 when they graduate into adult scouts. We will bridge at Pax. Then we will spend a week in London and travel to Dartmor!

My Girl Scout troop, when they were Cadettes, worked with www.patchworkdesigns.net to design the New Hampshire patch, list the requirements for the patch and wrote the booklet that went along with the patch. The booklet is not exactly as they had designed it but it will work to help girls from every state earn it.

Check it out. This was such a wonderful learning experience for the girls AND some of the girls have visited the places, etc. that is listed in the patch.
