Thanks for mentioning that TG. I've been in an intentional news black out all day until I could watch the Olympics for myself. The East Coast is 12 hours behind Bejing and those of us in western time zones from there have to wait even longer!

Putting "spoiler" in the post title with the actual news inside the post is typically considered the way to talk about such...well...spoilers her on AQ, isn't it?

Since the Games will be going on for a full 2 weeks, can I make a PREquest?

Please remember that the time zone delay is long enough for the US east coast from Beijing and even longer for those in western time zones! Please may we have *spoiler* alerts in post titles when talking about them and put the real news *inside* your posting?

Our local news and sports reporters are beginning all their segments with "if you don't want to know the results yet please mute your tv now."

Fair enough?

Thanks!

I have questions about the possible deeper meaning of the "Go World" phrase but I won't go into it...

With all the time travel I do, I often know how things end ahead of current time, yet, you do not see me giving away their outcome. I beg you please think before you write. . . or speak. My friend here was quite disturbed to hear your exclaimation (although was happy of its fact.)

Lemme guess, it's gone and I'm SOL unless I wanna retype it all, right, Ryan?

Point taken. It is like taping a college football game and not listening to the radio all day and just when you are turning on the tv to pop in the tape the score is flashed up on the screen. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.

Any way there was another USA gold today but I won't say her name or what sport.

Really....where's the Olympics theme?

It was on my to-do list--I even hacked a comment in the code for where the themes are listing the dates of the Olympics so I could drop it right into place once the theme was done.

But I never got around to it. Maybe next time. *shrug*

The moon landing was the last new theme I had ready to go, and right now, the new theme machine is dry. Eventually I do plan to make more new themes, but it may be awhile before I get around to it. Perhaps I'll have something new by the time September rolls around. =)

I had to remind myself to not scream my head off! I didn't want to wake up the kids. Oh my gosh, that was exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved hearing how the French were so full of themselves. They had such arrogant expressions on their faces before they got in the water. LOL!

Go Team USA!!!!!

Wow! :o)

Yes. The Cubs last won in 1908.

No I do not think they are due because I do not include notions of probability as a factor when I consider baseball.

You simply continue to make uninformed comments.

Yes, indeed congrats to them!!!

I just baked a big ol' "Humble" Pie. Maybe I should I use the "Silver" when it gets served?

Possibly some "crow" to eat for main course?

All in all... "well done" to the team!! (just cant seem to get away from those cooking terms.) LOL

To say that my hobbies are eclectic is an understatement. In addition to letterboxing, I also enjoy zymurgy and a few extreme sports. I am an avid paraglider and paramotorist (in addition to being a private pilot). Are there any others out there who have tried or are interested in these activities?

Quote I also enjoy zymurgy

What a fabulous word!!! I can't say I have any interest in the endeavor, but maybe I should just so I could say I'm a zymurgist!

That stupid pic. Why do people think it's okay to make fun of someone and then add "We didn't mean anything by it...was just a joke" to make it better? Honestly, I could cry to think that there are HUGE pockets of the world that still don't get this.

My youngest picked this habit of the insult followed by "It was just a joke" in first grade last year. It has been a long, hard summer...

He's still got to learn that it's not a joke if everybody isn't truly laughing--fake, polite/intimidated laughs don't count!
