Monteiro was delightful to watch in his exuberent energy of a podium finish. That was a high note.
You non-car racing people - 14 of the 20 cars parked it before the race started because the Michelin tires were deemed unsafe for the track. That created the flap. Another notch in the division between the team owners and the FIA.
Interesting. Sounds like some of the silliness on the main list on Yahoo. (the flap, that is).
Another notch in the division between the team owners and the FIA.
Talladega's first race back in '69 went like this. Richard Petty led a boycott of about 30 teams over unsafe tires, neither brand of the day was staying on the rim over 190 MPH. A few drivers broke ranks and a few others from a support series joined in and the race was held anyway.
just to cause trouble.... how about our red sox lol
....ah, The Chicago White Sox seem to know it all now :)
BTW- Happy Birthday!! :) :)
-WINK (just back from the game)
Just to get us started :)
You Capers/MAers have no shot!!
Here comes the NAVY!!!!!

onward to.... seattle!! ;-D
cam(your sports troll for the evening)
We can take you!
This is football we're talking about, right?
never have i seen one team do so much right, and one team do nearly everything wrong!
i told dh i had to pull for seattle now, cause i like the color of their uniforms. i just love that color!
hey, ryan, how about a seattle seahawks CSS for the superbowl? ;-D
Oh, man, you're right. Now I have to do a superbowl theme. *grumbling* Here I was, going to let it slide to work on other stuff. (Actually, I was just working on the Valentine's theme!)
I had a pretty good hunch that Seattle won, though, because it was all quiet and nice outside while I was working, then BAM! Firecrackers glore! Simutaneously from several directions. People shouting. I swear someone had to be shooting off a canon. So I had a pretty good hunch that meant that Seattle won, but it didn't occur to me that meant I had to do a Superbowl theme until you just mentioned it. *big sigh*
Only a girl or a gay man would say something like that. ;o)
The Seahags are Halfway decent, but that's because they switched from the AFC a few years back. If they're in the AFC this year......nahhh, nada, nyet, nope, nu'uh. Would not have happend. Sorry you crazy cats!!! Pittsburgh by double digits. Love ya all, but I can't see this one happening. All this from a Buffalo Bills fan!!! Go Bills!!!!!!
Me think thou dost protest too much! What venom!
there are times when silence has the loudest voice
Y'all are really putting me at a disadvantage on this....
Don't worry! All this talk of positions! Ryan admitted that he only knows of the Quarterback position! AND One year we were at the grocery store stocking up for a hiking trip the weekend of SuperBowl and the clerk asked us what our plans were for the weekend. Ryan said," We're Going Hiking" He then turns to me and says, "Why is the cashier asking us what we're doing this weekend?" It was SuperBowl Weekend and the clerk assumed we were stocking up for a party.
I have a trip at work that I have been trying to get rid of and I couldn't understand why no one was picking it up. (It is a really nice trip) It is because it is flying on SuperBowl Sunday! Someone finally pointed that out to me! So I guess I will be working that trip on Sunday. So I'll know who wins cause the pilots will be annoucing updates as we fly along.
What I didn't tell her is that I only recognize the name 'quarterback'. You show me a football game and I wouldn't be able to tell you which person is playing the quarterback. =)
-- Ryan, who never understood why so many people prefer to watch someone ELSE playing games *shaking head*
Not this year; my mother in law lives in Tacoma.
And I work within a few hundred feet of this letterbox...
but have never been to a game there. Nor expect to.
Go SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHITE!!!
