The problem with the tracing paper was I couldn't see the details through the paper.

I'm in the process of making my own "Muggle Cards". Since I'll be referencing this site, I'd like to include the AtlasQuest logo. Does anyone have a high-quality version of the logo that I may use? Thanks!

Under the home menu is the toolbox and under that is form center and then there are niggle cards you can print.

I was wondering too, so I looked it up.

intransitive verb
1 a : trifle
b : to spend too much effort on minor details
2 : to find fault constantly in a petty way : carp
she haggles, she niggles, she wears out our patience —Virginia Woolf
3 : gnaw

transitive verb
: to give stingily or in tiny portions

How that applies to a card is left as an exercise to the reader.

Illustration Markers

So I bought the Blick Illustration Markers. Now I am trying to figure out what to do with them. There are 24 colors, and not a wide range of greens. :(

I have been coloring with them, but they don't blend as well as I thought they would. Would a blender from a different brand work with these?

What are some ways you like to use your alcohol based illustration markers?

Feel free to peruse my glass and mirrors. I can do hand drawn, or things like copying logos, and even portraits.

I have copics. The blender marker from the copics is not really a blender... it's an eraser. I'm only familiar with Copic markers which are alcohol-based. But as far as blending goes they do blend pretty well but at the same time the colors that are most similar blend the best together. Also I find that they blend better when the color has not yet dried on the paper. I tend to start with a light or medium color and then keeping the paper wet add my dark color on top. Then I blend another time with the lighter color. I keep going back and forth until I'm pleased with what I have done . I sometimes even use the blender / eraser marker just to lighten it up. Keeping the paper wet seems to work well. I don't know if that would help with your markers or not but I thought I would at least suggest it.

Have you watched the new YouTube videos about your markers?

I searched and found one, but she kept going off topic so it was hard to watch. So that's why I asked here. :)

Sometimes I will look for reviews like on amazon or even google "[name of markers] blogs". Sometimes things will pop up. Otherwise I suppose you could see if they react at all like copics. You could possibly watch a few YouTube videos on copics and see if any of their techniques work for your markers?

Oh!! I thought of another idea that I just started. I've started searching in Facebook. Type your markers in the search section and see what comes up. A lot of times people will have groups or pages and that's where you can learn quite a few techniques. And if not any groups are pages about your markers sometimes certain art pages will pop up and people will be talking about a specific product. And then you can look at that post and see what they say about the markers and possibly join the group and talk about them that way too.

Ooh, good idea. I'll have to give that a try, because google and pinterest yielded not much, mostly copic. My issue is that I don't have the color range needed for a lot of the copic tutorials. Hmm...
I'll keep playing and searching.

Try searching “Blick markers vs Copic.” A bunch of articles and videos come up. Are you using marker paper? It’s less absorbent, so it works better for blending colors or shades. (The video by “Frugal Crafter “ shows examples on both 80 lb cardstock and marker paper @ 4:30) : )

Thanks for the reminder - I really need to practice more with my markers!

I Will try that search. And I haven't tried marker paper yet. I have some postcards you color and I'm not sure what kind of paper it is.
Thanks

It would have to be cut a shape right out of the same sheet so it will fit back in place, and the shapes being either something you can spin around any which way and it didn't matter...Orrrrrr...think puzzle pieces or even notches, making sure as you cut it out you give an indicator of how you fit it back in correctly.
