under Letterboxes dropdown menu go to Record Find fill NAME fill in OWNER if you know it. choose HH/cootie/flea option. SEARCH and all HH/cooties/fleas with that name will be shown. than do as you would for a regular box.

Here's how John Fogerty recorded his hitchhiker. 😆

With the Beans event this weekend, an event box was shared. Unfortunately it has the same name as my traditional series, but is a completely separate set of stamps. EVERYONE has logged the traditional series! Is there a way to delete the fake...

Totally agree. This will be a good thing to know how to do as there are several boxes with the same name on AQ (not just yours). Some people just don't pay attention to their finds. You really need to look at owner, # of stamps, series name, box nam...

Could you maybe clarify which boxes you are talking about so we can go back and double check? I’ve a lot of boxes to log in and wouldn’t be surprised if I made a mistake somewhere. Hate to be accused of a “fake find”.

You could ask Mud or Teacup to send out another announcement to direct people to remove the false finds and guide people towards the correct box??

... Really?! Don't do it! There goes your plausible deniability. In case the letterboxing police come knocking.

You are not one of those who logged it, as least not that I noticed. The box number is in my original post. I messaged everyone who logged it with the correct number and many have already logged the correct one. Most even deleted their incorrect fi...

RIC I sympathize with you. You have always put a lot of thought and creativity into your boxes. To have people destroy them for their own selfish gain is disheartening for you and all our community. One frustration I have is that there are SO MANY...

I can't believe that someone destroyed your (really cool) puzzle box over a stamp. I like to think it's a very small number of people, but some letterboxers feel entitled to stamps/finds even if they can't solve a clue. I can understand your regrets. :-(

... Based on Mud's description, I was afraid it was one of RIC's puzzle boxes......there were SO MANY people there that even if you couldn't sort it out, you could work as part of a team.......no excuse for vandalism

Agree 100%. People often say that not every box is for every boxer, and it's true. If you can't solve the clue (or in other cases do the hike, etc) then just move on to the next box. There was no shortage of boxes or stamps at this event, so everyone s...

I know that I've made some mistakes in the past with logging the wrong box, especially the ones that don't have any clues to jog my memory on where it was found (like was this snowman stamp the one from the lobby or one from someone's door?). Boxes tha...

I agree 100% as well. There were so many people at this event and the hotel that simply asking someone, even RIC, for help solving or a little nudge on how to solve would have been the right thing to do. It is absolutely heartbreaking to know that so...

Do you think they were logging my event box as your traditional? I had a disney themed event box with the 7 dwarves, daisy, goofy and pluto. But the box names are completely different. I had my name, the name of the box and the AQ# on it, so it does...

... Hm, Ok. but there were only 2 of those, right? So, that makes no sense, either. And they logged 9 finds? People are strange! I'd be irritated, too.

... Depends on one's message board settings. For most people, it's the wiki markup because that's the default on AQ. But people can use whatever link is under their "Boards" menu. It links to either the wiki or HTML help depending on the person's pref...

At the outset I’ll admit my knowledge of coding (and mind-reading the OP) is weak at best... 😄 But I took the OP to mean that they were interested in using a word as a link. Clicking Dawnkey’s link doesn’t take me to a way to do that. Maybe it has som...

... Hmm, unless I'm missing something you and I both posted links to different versions of the same page. I posted to the wiki-style markup page and you posted to the html-style markup page. Like Ryan said, the link that's helpful to people depends on...

No, it was me that was missing something. Like I said, coding is not my strong point. I experimented with the link you posted and see that it works just as well. I wasn’t experienced with that style of coding. Carry on...

I've created a "reserved" box series but was unable to add an additional planter. Is that because the box is reserved but once the box is activated I will then be able to add a planter?
by DawnkeyProfileContactLogbookNote
Board: Letterboxing Help Desk
... Yes, that’s exactly right.
