Why would my archive ability be down?

Why would my archive ability be down? I am unable to archive my messages in AQ mail.

I think there is a limit to the number of messages one can archive before another folder is made to hold them. Do you see any other folders already created that you can click on? Otherwise I think you can add a folder to then store them in.

OK. I found this.
Premium Perk!
You can only save up to 1000 messages in this folder, but as a premium member you can create custom folders to save more!
I clicked on the "create custom folders" & I get:
Webpage Not Found

This is quite embarrassing, I must say, but I can't find the webpage you are looking for. Probably just misplaced it, but who knows? What should you do at this point? Well, you have a few options:

While you probably weren't looking for it, you just stumbled onto the 404: Letterbox Not Found clue at the bottom of this page. Perhaps that will lessen your disappointment in the Great Tortuga. ;o)
If you typed in a URL, check that it is typed in correctly.
Click the Back button to try another link.
Go to https://www.atlasquest.com/ and try to find links to where you want to go.
Perhaps it was just a fluke, and if you try again by clicking refresh, it'll pop right up!
If you followed a link that appears to be broken, contact the webmaster and give them a piece of your mind. (You should also tell them where the broken link is and where it's trying to link to, so it can be fixed!)
Maybe the link is delibrately broken, and it's a bad practical joke at your expense? No, that couldn't be right....

But like I said, I'm so sorry. Just call me an idiot, but I can't find that darned webpage anywhere!
So what do I need to do now?

Go to your main inbox page. Along the left you'll see buttons for Write, Inbox, etc. At the bottom are a few icons. Click on the first icon in the second row, Create New Folder, and see if that works.

The URL should be fixed now. Thanks for pointing it out!

As others have noted, you probably filled up the folder that you were trying to store messages in, but you should be able to create more folders. You might also think about getting rid of old messages that you don't need anymore to clear out space in those folders.

under Letterboxes dropdown menu
go to Record Find
fill NAME
fill in OWNER if you know it.
choose HH/cootie/flea option.

SEARCH and all HH/cooties/fleas with that name will be shown.
than do as you would for a regular box.

Delete false finds from owned boxes?

With the Beans event this weekend, an event box was shared. Unfortunately it has the same name as my traditional series, but is a completely separate set of stamps. EVERYONE has logged the traditional series! Is there a way to delete the fake logs? I care more about an accurate find history of my boxes, but them claiming 9 fake "finds" also annoys me.

Totally agree. This will be a good thing to know how to do as there are several boxes with the same name on AQ (not just yours).

Some people just don't pay attention to their finds. You really need to look at owner, # of stamps, series name, box names, sometimes location, and box type - ESPECIALLY after a huge event like LLB.

Could you maybe clarify which boxes you are talking about so we can go back and double check? I’ve a lot of boxes to log in and wouldn’t be surprised if I made a mistake somewhere. Hate to be accused of a “fake find”.

You could ask Mud or Teacup to send out another announcement to direct people to remove the false finds and guide people towards the correct box??

Really?! Don't do it! There goes your plausible deniability. In case the letterboxing police come knocking.

You are not one of those who logged it, as least not that I noticed. The box number is in my original post.

I messaged everyone who logged it with the correct number and many have already logged the correct one. Most even deleted their incorrect finds. I expect misidentified logs to happen, but when it's a different type of box altogether...

It's just annoying when the event box had the number written on it yet people just log anything not noticing or caring that it's the wrong type of box. Add in people destroying my puzzle boxes to get the stamp inside and I greatly regret sharing my stamps.

RIC I sympathize with you. You have always put a lot of thought and creativity into your boxes. To have people destroy them for their own selfish gain is disheartening for you and all our community. One frustration I have is that there are SO MANY boxes at a large event it is impossible to know what is a trad., event, PT, cootie, etc. I wish people would get in the habit of putting a name/number somewhere in the box or stamp. This would make logging finds accurately, for those of us who are particular, easier.

I can't believe that someone destroyed your (really cool) puzzle box over a stamp. I like to think it's a very small number of people, but some letterboxers feel entitled to stamps/finds even if they can't solve a clue. I can understand your regrets. :-(

Based on Mud's description, I was afraid it was one of RIC's puzzle boxes......there were SO MANY people there that even if you couldn't sort it out, you could work as part of a team.......no excuse for vandalism

Agree 100%. People often say that not every box is for every boxer, and it's true. If you can't solve the clue (or in other cases do the hike, etc) then just move on to the next box. There was no shortage of boxes or stamps at this event, so everyone should have been able to find something they could enjoy without resorting to destruction of boxes.

I know that I've made some mistakes in the past with logging the wrong box, especially the ones that don't have any clues to jog my memory on where it was found (like was this snowman stamp the one from the lobby or one from someone's door?). Boxes that have the AQ# written in them make it so much easier to log them later, I make sure to write down the number next to the box name in my book.

RIClimber, I totally understand your disappointment in how your boxes were treated, but I just want to let you know that I love your boxes and I'm sorry that someone didn't give them the respect that they (and you) deserve.

I agree 100% as well. There were so many people at this event and the hotel that simply asking someone, even RIC, for help solving or a little nudge on how to solve would have been the right thing to do. It is absolutely heartbreaking to know that someone would go to such levels as to destroy someone else's property just to get those stamps. Just not cool at all. Thank you RIC for your creativity with those boxes and for all you do to make this hobby so much fun!!!!

Do you think they were logging my event box as your traditional? I had a disney themed event box with the 7 dwarves, daisy, goofy and pluto. But the box names are completely different. I had my name, the name of the box and the AQ# on it, so it doesn't make sense that they'd log mine as yours. :/

Hm, Ok. but there were only 2 of those, right? So, that makes no sense, either. And they logged 9 finds? People are strange! I'd be irritated, too.

Better link:

Depends on one's message board settings. For most people, it's the wiki markup because that's the default on AQ.

But people can use whatever link is under their "Boards" menu. It links to either the wiki or HTML help depending on the person's preferences.
